I've been looking around lately for light gifts for people around me and gifts for the elders in my family — it's not easy picking something when you have to think about how the other person will feel receiving it, haha. And at Chuseok it's absolutely got to be songpyeon, but finding a place that makes it well isn't easy! The parking lot is behind the building, so parking was convenient too. Chewy and full of sesame What I packed up was Tteokmidang's sweet pumpkin seolgi and songpyeon! Plus some extra rice cakes the owner sent along for my kid. The owner was so generous that I felt good the whole time I was in the shop. The songpyeon was almost all made by the time I got there, and just looking at it made my mouth water — packed with sesame filling inside, nutty, chewy, and so delicious.
