Yesterday I went to Yetnal Tongdak & Tang, a Seomyeon fried chicken spot where you can eat well without breaking the bank. It's the kind of place where you can dig into a huge spread of chicken dishes — dakdoritang (spicy braised chicken stew), old-style whole fried chicken, gizzard fry, regular fried chicken, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and more. It's great for work dinners, group get-togethers, or just a cheap-and-good Seomyeon drinking spot. Here's my honest review ⬇️

## The dakdoritang: glass noodles, rice cakes and quail eggs

First off, doesn't the dakdoritang look amazing? ❤️ It comes fully cooked and ready to eat, and if it starts to cool down they'll pop it back on the burner so it stays warm the whole time.

You can add extra noodle toppings to the stew, but even without ordering extra, it already came loaded with glass noodles.

And so much big chunky chicken!!! You can pay an extra ₩2,000 to switch to boneless, but we like bones, so we stuck with bone-in haha.

You can't have a spicy, rich dakdoritang broth without rice 🤍 Soak the sweet-spicy broth into a bowl of rice and eat it with the meat — you'll seriously demolish a whole bowl in no time.

There were also plenty of long rice cakes in there, so soft and chewy, soaked through with the sauce — really delicious.

Above all, the slightly spicy, punchy broth was genuinely delicious, and there was so much meat that the portion would easily be enough for three people.

## How to eat the fried gizzards: dip them in the stew broth

The gizzard fry came out golden and crispy, still tasting fresh, and fried without any greasiness — really light. The smell alone was incredible 🤍

My boyfriend, who really knows his food, taught me this one: dip the gizzard fry straight into the spicy dakdoritang broth. The crispiness and the spice come together perfectly — a special side dish you'll never get tired of :)
