## In short

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is a Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Adelis building on Marine City 3-ro in Haeundae, Busan. A family visit here brought jajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce), beef brisket jjamppong and black vinegar pork loin tangsuyuk, plus free yaki-mandu (fried dumplings) from the receipt review event. With mild jajangmyeon for the kids and fiery jjamppong for the adults on one table, Bueokgan Chinese works well for a Haeundae family meal out.

When you're looking for somewhere to eat out with family in Haeundae, you naturally look for a place with menus that work for kids and adults alike. This time we went hunting for a Chinese restaurant near Marine City where we could have a clean, comfortable meal.

Marine City has plenty of restaurants even by Haeundae standards, and it's close to Dongbaekseom, so it's a nice area to walk around before or after a meal. We had a good time sharing a variety of Chinese dishes as a family, so let me introduce the place.

## Where is Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch, and what is it like inside?

![Entrance to Bueokgan Chinese on the 2nd floor of a Marine City building](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner-03-8dwe4-966.webp)

This time we visited Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch, located on the 2nd floor of a building in Marine City.

![Clean, tidy seating inside the Chinese restaurant](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner-04-miyyc-966.webp)

Walking in, the whole place felt clean and a bit upscale. It had that familiar, comfortable Chinese-restaurant feel, but the space was well organized so we could enjoy a calmer meal.

It seemed fine for a family meal, but I think it would also suit a date or a gathering where atmosphere matters. Given the character of the Marine City area, it felt like a stylish Chinese restaurant that matched its surroundings nicely — I really liked that.

We visited with kids, but the overall clean, upscale atmosphere made it a satisfying spot for a family meal out.

## What's on the menu at Bueokgan Chinese?

Looking at the menu at Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch, there were noodle dishes like jajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce) and jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), along with a range of Chinese dishes like fried rice and tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork).

![Menu page listing noodle dishes and cooked dishes](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner-06-kj4ct-966.webp)

From familiar dishes kids like to the spicier jjamppong and other dishes adults enjoy, there was enough range that a family could each order according to their own taste.

If you're visiting with a group, it seems better to order a mix of noodle dishes and cooked dishes to share rather than sticking to just one menu. We looked things over and picked a few to share ourselves.

## What we ordered at Bueokgan Chinese

This time we ordered

- 🍜 Jajangmyeon
- 🍜 Beef brisket jjamppong
- 🥢 Black vinegar pork loin tangsuyuk

— these three dishes.

The jajangmyeon was rich and savory, filling in the best way, and the jjamppong had a warm, spicy broth that hit the spot. With tangsuyuk added in too, we got to enjoy both noodle and cooked dishes in one meal.

It was a good lineup for a family visit where everyone picks what they want and shares.

## Jajangmyeon with a rich black bean sauce

We started with the jajangmyeon. The noodles came generously topped with black bean sauce, plus cucumber and egg, so it looked clean and appetizing.

Mixing the sauce evenly through the noodles gave us a glossy bowl of jajangmyeon! One bite in, and that rich, savory jajang flavor came through.

Jajangmyeon is one of the easiest dishes to order when you're at a Chinese restaurant with kids.

It's not spicy and has a familiar flavor, so it worked well as a family meal option with our kid too.

## Beef brisket jjamppong with a fiery broth

Next was the beef brisket jjamppong, which I really enjoyed. Unlike a typical seafood jjamppong, this one had beef brisket and beef in it, so the broth felt a bit richer and heavier.

![Spicy jjamppong with beef brisket and beef](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner-16-1ga2f-966.webp)

Taking a spoonful of the warm broth first, the spicy flavor really woke up my appetite. Eating the noodles and toppings together made for a filling meal on its own.

Switching back and forth between the sweet, rich flavor of the jajangmyeon and the spicy broth of the jjamppong let us enjoy two completely different flavors.

## Crispy black vinegar pork loin tangsuyuk

You can't skip tangsuyuk at a Chinese restaurant. We also ordered the black vinegar pork loin tangsuyuk.

![Golden fried black vinegar pork loin tangsuyuk](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner-17-d3zgr-966.webp)

Fried to a golden brown, the tangsuyuk was crispy outside and juicy inside. The clean flavor of the pork loin combined with the black vinegar sauce gave it a nice sweet-and-sour kick.

Eating a piece of tangsuyuk between bites of jajangmyeon or jjamppong worked really well.

![Tangsuyuk plate good for sharing among several people](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner-21-36975-966.webp)

It was a good dish to order once and share when there are several of you.

## Free yaki-mandu from the receipt review event

We also got to try yaki-mandu (pan-fried dumplings) through a receipt review event. Fried golden brown, the yaki-mandu were crispy outside and juicy inside, and they were delicious eaten while still warm.

They had a different kind of crispiness from the tangsuyuk, so they were nice to have between bites of the noodle dishes. It was a complimentary item, but it fit in better than expected, and we enjoyed it right to the end. 😊

## Is Bueokgan Chinese good for a family meal in Haeundae?

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch was a place where we could try a range of Chinese dishes in a clean, tidy atmosphere overall. We ordered jajangmyeon, beef brisket jjamppong, and black vinegar pork loin tangsuyuk, and since each dish had a different flavor and texture, eating them together felt even more satisfying.

![Table with jajangmyeon, jjamppong, and tangsuyuk together](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner/haeundae-marine-city-chinese-family-dinner-22-286so-966.webp)

If you're looking for somewhere to eat with family in Haeundae, or a Haeundae restaurant to visit with kids, this Chinese spot is a good, filling option.
