## In short

Working Holiday Minrak is a brunch café and dining lounge on the 7th floor of Bada Maru, 29 Minrak-subyeon-ro, Suyeong-gu, Busan, facing Gwangan Bridge head-on. A couple sat at a window seat timed for sunset and shared pistachio cream jambon pizza and cream pasta with an iced americano, loving the chewy wood-fired dough and the thick pasta noodles that never went mushy. With dinner reservations available, it's a solid date spot that carries you from sunset straight into the night view.

The number one Gwangalli date course, a brunch café and pizza spot — Working Holiday Minrak.

Let me introduce the top-tier Gwangalli date spot my partner and I visited recently — the brunch café and restaurant Working Holiday Minrak.

## An ocean-view gem: Working Holiday Minrak

![Window seat at Working Holiday Minrak overlooking the Gwangalli sea at sunset](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday-03-1kxt0-m-873.webp)

There are plenty of places with a great view of Gwangalli Beach, but honestly it's rare to find one that stays perfectly immersive from the romantic sunset hour all the way through to the deep night view.

![Panoramic ocean view of Gwangalli Beach seen from the 7th floor](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday-04-1wz4z-900.webp)

This weekend we went to the main Gwangalli brunch café that's already famous for its wide-open ocean view and excellent food — Working Holiday in Minrak-dong.

![The exotic-mood interior space of Working Holiday Minrak](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday-05-u0n1s-900.webp)

Even in the bright daytime it has its own exotic charm, but I timed this visit for sunset, and the deep mood of the dining lounge at that hour was truly overwhelming! Especially the combo of wood-fired pizza plus Gwangalli ocean view — this place is the best for that.

### Hours, parking, and reservations

- Feature: Unlike the Gwangalli main branch or the Haeundae branch, which run mainly on daytime brunch, the Minrak branch takes dinner reservations, feeling more like a dining lounge for enjoying wine or beer with an atmospheric dinner
- View point: A wide-open panoramic ocean view of Gwangalli Beach seen from the 7th floor
- Parking: Yes — underground lot behind the Bada Maru building, 1 hour free per ₩10,000 spent, up to 4 hours
- Hours: Daily 09:00–22:30 (last order 22:00)
- Reservations: Naver Reservations

## An ocean view with Gwangan Bridge right in front, and stylish interiors

We got lucky and were seated right by the window — the prime spot with the closest, most direct view of Gwangan Bridge.

As time passed, the sun slowly set and the lights on Gwangan Bridge began switching on one by one — the glittering ocean view spreading out beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows was pure art!

![Dining lounge interior with soft lighting and unique tables](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday-08-1buu6-900.webp)

The space is full of such a romantic mood that I genuinely want to recommend it to anyone looking for an atmospheric date spot.

My girlfriend, who's especially into furniture and interior design, really loved this space.

Every detail filling the store — the unique tables, the chairs with real texture, and the soft lighting that gives the whole space a gentle mood — was charming. I loved how the sleek interior paid careful attention even to the smallest details.

The interior itself is very spacious with high ceilings, giving an open, uncramped, comfortable feeling, so it seems just as good for a cozy couple's date as for group gatherings, family get-togethers, or a relaxed weekend family meal.

## The menu: brunch, dining, café — whatever you're after

This isn't just a coffee shop — alongside high-quality brunch, it has Italian wood-fired pizzas, proper pastas, sweet desserts, and great coffee, all lined up like a full course. It's now solidly at the top of my list of recommended Gwangalli brunch cafés.

We ordered the pistachio cream jambon pizza, cream pasta, a cold iced americano, and a cola.

![Pizza and pasta laid out on the window-side table](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday-12-1w1e3-900.webp)

Our order arrived.

### Pistachio cream jambon pizza — the dough is the real deal

When the food arrived, the pizza was by far the biggest surprise. The visual, piled high with jambon (ham), was impressive, but the taste was even more so.

![Close-up of the wood-fired jambon pizza crust](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday-14-10h3r-900.webp)

The wood-fired dough was so chewy and nutty that it could easily hold its own against any dedicated Gwangalli pizza restaurant.

Honestly, since this place is based around brunch, I didn't expect the pizza quality to rival a specialist pizzeria, but the moment we took a bite, my girlfriend and I both let out an involuntary gasp.

You know how with wood-fired pizza, you can tell a place's real skill just from the crust at the edge? After one bite I told my girlfriend, 'Okay, we absolutely have to come back here just for the pizza.'

The combination of salty, tender jambon ham and the nutty pistachio cream spreading through your mouth was excellent too. My girlfriend really loved it.

![A plate of cream pasta topped with arugula](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday-17-7cq47-900.webp)

### Cream pasta: the thick noodles are the highlight

The cream pasta we ordered alongside it was also delicious! It's a rich cream sauce base loaded with deeply flavored button mushrooms and light chicken.

A generous pile of fresh, slightly bitter arugula sits on top, nicely balancing out what could otherwise be a heavy, greasy flavor.

![Close-up of the cream pasta topped with arugula](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday-19-kydgr-900.webp)

What struck me most was that instead of the usual thin spaghetti noodle, they used a thick pasta noodle with real, substantial bite.

![Lifting up the thick pasta noodles](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday-20-224mk-900.webp)

![Thick pasta noodles wound around a fork](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday-21-kqpn6-900.webp)

Even as we ate slowly, taking in the view and chatting, the noodles didn't go mushy — they held their chewy texture right up to the last bite, which was really satisfying.

## The coffee is good too!

![An iced americano placed by the window](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday-22-9o7ur-900.webp)

On top of everything, Working Holiday Minrak also has good coffee that rounds out the flavors of the food. The taste is smooth and clean without a sharp acidity, pairing naturally with the pizza and pasta — it made me think it would be just as perfect on a sunny, relaxed afternoon paired with the various brunch dishes next time. Highly recommend the americano.

## Wrapping up

If I had to name a can't-fail top-tier date course in Gwangalli, Busan, I'd recommend this place without hesitation. It's also a brunch café and restaurant I'd genuinely recommend to anyone traveling to Busan.

A romantic ocean view that pulls you into the mood, a stylish and comfortable space, and wood-fired pizza and pasta that were better than expected. If you want to experience a romantic sunset that turns an ordinary day into something special, be sure to visit Working Holiday Minrak!

## Main branch vs. Minrak branch — which should you choose?

Since Working Holiday has two locations in Gwangalli (main branch and Minrak branch), a lot of people wonder which one to go to. Let me break it down for you!

![Comparison image of Working Holiday's Gwangalli main branch and Minrak branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday/gwangalli-sunset-window-jambon-pizza-working-holiday-24-15g92-m-1200.webp)

Gwangalli main branch (1st location): "Orange-glow gem, picnic-mood brunch" — visited in daytime, the main branch's bright, exotic picnic mood is at its peak. Recommended if you want proper brunch dishes like salmon eggs Benedict paired with their signature latte, enjoying the lively daytime Gwangalli beach in good light.

Minrak branch (3rd location): "Holiday and Night, a romantic dining lounge" — the branch I visited is all about dinner! Trendy, charming interiors plus the Gwangan Bridge night view at sunset make for a fantastic mood. You can pair the existing brunch menu with dinner specials (like wood-fired pizza), wine, and beer — it's optimized for a romantic date overlooking the night sea.
