But here they grill everything for you, the meat quality is great, and they even have sides that go perfectly with drinks — I really wanted to share this with anyone looking for a good restaurant near Jeonpo Station. ## How far is Sanseong Sikyukjeom Jeonpo Direct Store from Jeonpo Station? Sanseong Sikyukjeom Jeonpo Direct Store is about a 250m walk from Exit 8 of Jeonpo Station! It's also about 350m from Jeonpo intersection, so anyone who frequents Jeonpo will probably recognize the location right away. It's honestly a stretch you've probably walked past before if you spend time in Jeonpo, so the accessibility was great. When the meat first comes out, I'd recommend dipping it in the salt sitting right in front of you. Salt really is the cleanest way to taste the meat itself. And next to it, there was guidance on which sauce pairs with which cut. ### Why the shiitake wasabi sauce is a must-try Of all of them, the shiitake wasabi was genuinely delicious, ugh. It's wasabi, but not too sharp or salty, with a subtle shiitake aroma mixed in that went really well with the meat. I'm definitely getting this again next time, haha. ### How good was the meat quality? Just looking at the meat, you can tell it looks good. It had good thickness and grain, so it looked delicious even before it hit the grill. This was so good while drinking, ugh. It had quite a bit of chili in it, so it was on the spicier side. I love that kind of broth so I enjoyed it, but my boyfriend can't handle spicy food well so he struggled a bit, haha. Something to keep in mind if you're not great with spice! ### First bite: pork neck with pickled cucumber My first bite was pork neck with pickled cucumber together. The meat itself was thick, so eating it with the pickled cucumber added a nice crunchy texture. This was so convenient. Such a good side dish to go with the meat, haha. Learning this kind of story gave me more confidence — this isn't just some recently opened trendy BBQ place, but somewhere that's been handling meat for a long time. So my expectations for the meat quality went up a bit more too, haha. ## There is a happy hour event too! They were also running a happy hour event at the time. If you visit between 4:30 and 6pm, they apparently give you kimchi jjigae and pork belly skin as a free side. The details of the event may change over time, so I'd recommend checking before your visit! ### We got the free pork skin as well Our timing worked out, so we got the pork belly skin service too!
