## A sushi restaurant at Lotte Department Store near Myeongnyun Station

Today I’m introducing Moshi Moshi Sushi (모시모시 스시) Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch, a great lunch spot near Myeongnyun Station. Moshi Moshi Sushi is in the restaurant floor on the eighth level of Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch. It is close to Myeongnyun Station, making it easy to reach, and it is a convenient place to eat while shopping.

We visited at lunchtime, and plenty of people were already dining. It looked popular with both nearby residents and department-store visitors looking for lunch.

The restaurant is spacious and clean overall. Most tables seat four, and there are also two-person tables along one side, so it seemed easy enough to visit alone for a meal.

Further inside, there are tables somewhat separated from the other seats. They looked suitable for a family meal or a small, casual gathering too.

## A menu with sushi and noodles to choose from

![Moshi Moshi Sushi set menu guide](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-dongnae-sushi-set-udon/busan-dongnae-sushi-set-udon-03-1wbfv-900.webp)

The menu has plenty of combinations where you can enjoy sushi, salad, and noodles together, including assorted sushi, sushi set meals, sashimi set meals, soba set meals, and udon set meals.

We ordered Set 3 that day. The set menu was divided into “The Good One” and “The Better One,” and we chose “The Better One.” The portions themselves are the same; the difference is the fish that tops the sushi. “The Better One” includes slightly more premium fish varieties.

Our Set 3 came with 16 pieces of sushi, salmon salad, and a noodle dish; we chose udon. It cost ₩68,900. If you take part in the Naver receipt-review event, you also receive two pieces of shrimp sushi, so keep that in mind if you visit.

Hygiene matters just as much as flavor at a restaurant, right? Moshi Moshi Sushi received the restaurant hygiene grade of “excellent.” The soy sauce placed at the table was neatly labeled with both the date it was portioned and its use-by date, and the restaurant itself was cleanly maintained throughout. Seeing these small details made me feel that they pay close attention to ingredients and hygiene management as well.

## The first side dishes with Set 3 “The Better One”

After a short wait, cabbage salad, tofu salad, rakkyo (pickled scallions), pickled ginger, danmuji (yellow pickled radish), and soup arrived first.

The cabbage salad had a bright, tangy dressing, which was nice for waking up the appetite before the main meal.

![Soft, mild tofu salad](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-dongnae-sushi-set-udon/busan-dongnae-sushi-set-udon-10-1hvfg-900.webp)

The tofu salad was soft and mild as well, making it easy to eat without feeling heavy.

### Salmon salad with blueberry dressing

Next came the salmon salad included in the set. The plate held generous, thick slices of salmon, with a salad dressed in blueberry dressing in the center.

I tried the salmon with onion, sprouts, and garlic flakes all at once. The tang of the blueberry dressing cut through the salmon’s soft, rich nuttiness, so it tasted fresh rather than cloying. The crisp onion and the nutty garlic flakes here and there made for a good combination too.

## A 16-piece sushi selection from tuna to eel

And finally, the day’s main dish arrived: 16 pieces of sushi. Since we ordered “The Better One,” the toppings on the sushi were a pretty satisfying selection.

Tuna, salmon, flounder, eel, abalone, soy-marinated shrimp, and shrimp sushi were neatly arranged on one plate. Except for the abalone and soy-marinated shrimp, most varieties came as two pieces, making this a nice set for two people to share one each.

To properly start on the sushi, I mixed a little wasabi into the soy sauce. Rather than dipping the sushi directly into the sauce, I coated pickled ginger with soy sauce and lightly brushed it over each piece of sushi before eating.

I started with the tuna sushi. Its rich, nutty flavor spread smoothly as soon as I put it in my mouth, and the fish seemed to be in good condition. The amount of shari (seasoned sushi rice) was just right too. There was not too much rice for the fish, and the seasoning was not excessive, so the fish and rice felt well balanced.

The salmon sushi, which tends to be an easy crowd-pleaser, was satisfying as well. Its soft texture and the salmon’s characteristic rich flavor came through nicely, making it a straightforward but delicious bite.

Personally, the eel sushi also stayed with me. Depending on its condition or cooking, eel can sometimes have a distinctive aroma that feels distracting, but I barely noticed that here. The soft, nutty eel and sweet sauce came together naturally, and I enjoyed it without any heaviness.

I also tried the abalone, soy-marinated shrimp, flounder, and shrimp sushi one by one. Overall, the ingredients seemed to be in good condition, and everything was tasty.

## A satisfying finish with the set udon broth

Lastly, the udon we chose as our noodle dish arrived. It was generously filled with shiitake mushrooms, shrimp, fried tofu, and more.

![Clean, rich udon broth](https://img.superchart.com/images/busan-dongnae-sushi-set-udon/busan-dongnae-sushi-set-udon-24-xylh3-900.webp)

The first sip of broth was clean and refreshing, with great savory depth. The gentle aroma of shiitake mushrooms gave the broth even more depth. Honestly, because it came with a set menu, I did not expect much from the udon, but the broth was deeper and richer than expected, so I was pleased. Sipping the warm udon broth now and then went well with the sushi and made for a filling finish to the meal.

## A sushi meal that works well before or after shopping and a movie

Moshi Moshi Sushi is in a department-store restaurant floor, but I was pleased to find sushi of higher quality than I expected. In particular, “The Better One” set lets you try a range of sushi from tuna, salmon, flounder, eel, abalone, and soy-marinated shrimp, plus salmon salad and udon, making it a substantial lunch for two.

I also liked that the restaurant was spacious and cleanly maintained. With two-person tables, four-person tables, and separated seating further inside, it looked suitable for everything from dining alone to a family meal or a small casual gathering.

Because it is inside Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch, it is convenient for a meal before or after shopping. It also seems like a nice course to follow a movie at Lotte Cinema in the same building with a neat sushi meal. If you are looking for a clean lunch near Myeongnyun Station or sushi at Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch, I recommend Moshi Moshi Sushi.
