## In short

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is an Italian restaurant on Dalmaji Hill in Haeundae, Busan. We had a set with pepperoni pizza and abalone cream risotto after the baby’s soccer class, with a high chair and children’s tableware provided. Verdict: the pizza-and-risotto pairing is especially good for a family meal with kids.

## A Dalmaji Hill brunch restaurant with the baby

After the baby’s soccer class one weekend, we wanted pizza, so I asked a friend from this neighborhood to recommend a pizza place around Haeridan-gil. She introduced me to this place among the Dalmaji Hill brunch spots in Haeundae, saying it was a yes-kids zone where you can bring little ones without feeling self-conscious. This is <Bueokgan Haeundae Branch>.

Actually, I had taken photos of this building before because it was so pretty when I passed by, and I thought it was a Chinese restaurant. But I learned on this visit that there are both a Chinese restaurant and an Italian restaurant, in separate spaces. They are on different floors of the same building.

We visited for weekend lunch, and it was busy enough to make me think, “Was I the only one who didn’t know about this place until now?” Most guests were families, though there were also about three tables of couples on dates, haha.

Lots of people on dates were seated in the sofa booths like these, while the main dining room naturally had many tables with babies. High chairs are freely available, and it seems popular because it is a place that can suit everyone’s tastes, from little babies to grandmothers, haha. The interior is sooooo pretty too.

Our baby was perfectly happy too. The air was nice and the tables were nicely spaced out. This is the Egg stroller I introduced recently, and I am completely satisfied with it. My favorite thing is simply that it is pretty. Hahahaha.

## Set menu and kabocha pastry soup

You can order from the menu as a set or à la carte, but the set was a few thousand won cheaper. You can choose one pizza and either pasta or risotto. Since we make pasta at home often, I chose risotto.

You can also choose kabocha squash soup. For just ₩2,000 more, they put pastry on top, so if you love pastry soup at hotels, definitely add it here. It tasted exactly like that.

This is it! It is kabocha squash soup made in-house with fresh squash. The pastry on top made it look great, but it was really delicious too. I do not know whether they make the raw pastry dough themselves, but the pastry itself was tasty.

And this is the salad that came with the set at no extra charge. You can pay extra to switch to napa cabbage Caesar salad or grilled salad, but if salad is not a huge priority for you, the basic one should be perfectly fine, haha.

## Pepperoni pizza with a light dough

And this is the pepperoni pizza my friend recommended. I also prefer pepperoni or combination pizza that tastes properly American over fusion pizzas topped with bulgogi or shrimp. So I ordered the pepperoni, and its savory saltiness balanced really well with the light dough.

It was loaded with cheese too, with that nice stretchy pull. It felt like they were using real mozzarella?

My husband seems to eat everything, but he is actually quite picky. He complimented this pepperoni pizza, saying it was delicious. Of everything we ate that day, he said the pepperoni pizza was the best, haha.

## Abalone cream risotto that was great for a toddler meal

Next was the abalone risotto I ordered. The abalone cream risotto combines a rich abalone innards sauce with cream. There were small pieces of abalone and clam meat throughout, with a small amount of fried enoki mushrooms on top.

It was just right for babies who have started toddler meals. The pizza was not spicy, so the baby ate it well too, but of course you have to give them rice, haha. Something like abalone cream risotto is perfect for a child. It was delicious for adults as well, and I liked how harmonious it felt with the rice.

![Dining table set with children’s tableware](https://img.superchart.com/images/haeundae-kids-pizza-bueokgan/haeundae-kids-pizza-bueokgan-21-1izph-966.webp)

They brought out a high chair and children’s tableware separately, and the servers were so kind that I thought it would be great for a get-together with friends’ families next time. When you take a baby to restaurants, you can feel self-conscious, but when a place actively provides high chairs or tableware like a welcoming kids zone, I think you end up coming back, haha. No-kids zones make me sad, but I understand them a hundred times over too ㅠ.ㅠ
