We debated what to eat and settled on sushi. There was a good variety — tuna types, white fish, shrimp, eel, egg sushi, and gunkan (battleship-style rolls), and the premium sushi even had uni gunkan, so the plate felt pretty well put together. So as we ate, we filled up faster than expected. Honestly, when we ordered, we said, "Let's add an udon if we're still hungry after sushi." But nope. After a few pieces of sushi, the thought of udon just disappeared. 😂 Maybe because the fish was so thick, sushi alone was pretty filling. In the end, we finished with just sushi, no udon added. ## Good for sharing with a kid, too We shared the top sushi with my kid. Since there were so many types on one plate, it was easy for a kid and an adult to split it according to their tastes. The tuna was soft, the white fish had a nice chew, the shrimp was clean with a subtle sweetness. Most of all, none of the sushi we had that day tasted fishy, and the fish never felt mushy. You can tell from the photos how thick the slices are. What stuck with me most while eating was thinking, "Wow, they really pile the fish on here." ## When you want sushi near Jongak Station This time, we really only ordered sushi. Mom had the premium sushi, my kid and I had the top sushi. If you're looking for sushi near Jongak Station and prefer thick cuts of fish over thin slices, this might be worth keeping in mind. It's not always easy to pick a menu for three people including a mom and a kid, but ordering two different sets and sharing worked out perfectly this time. After lunch near Jongak Station, we headed over to Gwanghwamun for the concert. Starting the day with a good lunch put me in a great mood even before the show. 🍣🎭 Next time, I want to try the seared beef brisket sushi that I only got a peek at on mom's plate, or pick out other single sushi items.
