I was looking for somewhere simple yet filling to eat in Gangnam, and ended up at Ola Poke Gangnam. I usually love menus like salads or poke bowls where you get to eat lots of vegetables and toppings together. Poke is something I reach for often when I want a meal that's not too heavy but still satisfying.

Let me walk you through the vibe at Ola Poke Gangnam, a poke and salad specialist near Gangnam Station, all the way to what I ordered.

## Where is Ola Poke Gangnam, and when is it closed?

Ola Poke Gangnam is closed every Saturday and Sunday. It's also closed for the Chuseok holiday from September 24 (Fri) to September 26 (Sun), plus October 3 (Sat), October 5 (Mon), and October 9 (Fri), so keep that in mind.

Stepping into Ola Poke Gangnam, the overall vibe was clean and tidy. There's a variety of seating too, and it felt like a comfortable place to eat solo. I thought it was also a good spot to grab a quick meal or take something out.

There was a wide variety of poke on the menu — buldak (fire chicken) octopus poke, fried tofu poke, salmon poke, tuna poke, garlic shrimp poke, avocado poke, and more. You can choose your own salad-to-rice ratio.

## Chicken breast poke, salad only with no rice: 11,000 won

For the chicken breast poke, I left out the rice and went salad only. It came with a salad base topped with chicken breast and a variety of toppings.

The bowl was loaded with plenty of vegetables, making it a generous portion overall. With the chicken breast and various vegetables together, it was a light yet clean meal. Drizzling on the sesame soy sauce made it nice and nutty.

For the avocado poke, I chose salad 7, rice 3. With fresh vegetables, avocado, and various toppings all piled together, it looked delicious just to look at.

The soft, nutty taste of the avocado paired well with the vegetables and made for a light meal. The crunchy texture of the vegetables combined nicely with the soft avocado, and it was a clean, easy meal to finish.

## Is Ola Poke Gangnam worth a second visit for poke near Gangnam Station?

I liked that Ola Poke Gangnam lets you choose your base and menu for the poke or salad according to your taste. The menu lineup was varied, and the fresh vegetables and toppings were generously portioned, making it both filling and tasty. The chicken breast poke salad was light and clean, while the avocado poke was soft and nutty.

It was a comfortable meal on a day I wanted something light, and being able to choose the salad-to-rice ratio meant I could tailor it to my taste. I'd say it's a solid spot to visit if you're looking for a clean meal in Gangnam or craving poke or salad for lunch.
