Above all, it has menu items I really like, so it is not the kind of place I visit once and call it done—I naturally find myself coming back. When you walk into Chat Baker, the ceiling is seriously high. The interior is mostly white with just the right amount of wood and green, so it feels clean without being too cold! The space is used generously right from the entrance, so it never feels cramped, and the open view all the way up gives it that airy, large-café feel. The high ceiling is especially nice, and each area has slightly different décor, which makes it fun to look around. There is a long bakery display along one side, with a seriously varied selection. Natural light comes in through the large windows, and since the space itself is so big, it did not feel stuffy even with quite a few people there. Then when you go up to the second floor, the mood changes again! The tables are well spaced, and each section has its own feel, from the central wood interior to areas with plant-filled décor, making me want to sit in every single spot haha. I also liked that seats on both floors are widely spaced, so you are not squeezed right up against the next table. Both the first and second floors are generously laid out, with varied seating, so it would work not only for dates but also family outings and get-togethers with friends.
