## In short

Jjeojeoseu Sindang Jungang Market Main Branch is a Mexican-Korean fusion bar inside Sindang Jungang Market in Jung-gu, Seoul, where everything is cooked on a griddle at the table. After a first round of meat in Sindang-dong, the writer came here for a second round of the signature beef rib platter, a 1L cocktail called Jjeojeoseu Tea, soju and draft beer. With perilla-leaf tacos and noisy outdoor-tent tables, Jjeojeoseu is an easy place for one more drink without going overboard.

This time I'm introducing a fusion spot that combines the charms of Mexican and Korean cooking, with a special method of grilling everything on a griddle. With affordable prices and a hip vibe, Jjeojeoseu Sindang Jungang Market Main Branch is a great place for a second round in Sindang Jungang Market.

## Where is Jjeojeoseu Sindang Jungang Market Main Branch, and what are its hours?

- Location: 32 Toegye-ro 85-gil, 1F, Jung-gu, Seoul
- Hours: 17:00–24:00 (until 02:00 Fri, Sat / closed Tuesdays)

Jjeojeoseu, a great spot for a second round inside Sindang Jungang Market, is located right next to Exit 7 of the market — enter through the middle of Sindang Jungang Market between Sindang Station Exits 1 and 2 and keep walking straight in. We'd had our first round of meat in Sindang-dong and, not quite ready to call it a night, started looking around — turns out there are plenty of places to eat inside Sindang Jungang Market too. Looking for a good-value spot for round two, we ended up at Jjeojeoseu.

![View of Sindang Jungang Market, full of food and things to see](https://img.superchart.com/images/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu-05-ne3ho-900.webp)

There are quite a few good restaurants inside Sindang Jungang Market, and plenty to look at too — it felt like walking through one of those youth-run market stalls.

Keep walking up while looking around and you'll spot Jjeojeoseu's eye-catching sign — easy to find. It even has a hip atmosphere that's rare to feel inside a market, making it a real standout in Sindang Jungang Market.

## Tent tables inside the market and the indoor seating at Jjeojeoseu

Since Jjeojeoseu is inside the covered market, it has outdoor tent tables you don't have to worry about even if it rains — but what does an outdoor tent inside a market actually feel like? Either way, it's tent-table season, so any outdoor tent table is a win.

We grabbed an indoor table, which had a cozy hideout feel, like a little Sindang Jungang Market hangout spot. In the evenings it's probably packed with second-round customers. This isn't really a place for quiet conversation over a drink — it's more of a lively, high-energy Sindang Jungang Market bar for a fun round of drinks.

## Jjeojeoseu menu: beef rib Mexican platter, tacos and tequila

![Jjeojeoseu's side dish menu board](https://img.superchart.com/images/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu-10-xfjpe-900.webp)

Jjeojeoseu, a Sindang Jungang Market favorite, has a nice mix of Mexican and Korean flavors, with plenty of side dishes you don't usually get to try. Signature items include the beef rib Mexican platter, bulgogi Doritos, tomato beef enchiladas, plus highballs and tequila on the drinks side.

There's a drink lineup — highball, soju, beer, ade, tequila — that pairs well with both the special dishes and Korean food, matching well with both the Mexican and Korean sides of the menu. We ordered the signature beef rib platter and the signature 1L drink, Jjeojeoseu Tea.

## Jjeojeoseu Tea, the 1L signature cocktail three people can share

The signature 1L drink came out first, and it was plenty for three people. It's Jjeojeoseu's signature cocktail, made with three types of liquor and a bright mix of mixed berries and lime. It tasted super refreshing, but the owner mentioned it's actually a fairly strong cocktail.

![Additional soju and draft beer ordered](https://img.superchart.com/images/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu-14-1kuyj-900.webp)

Wondering what else to drink, we went with a 'whatever, let's just try it all' mindset haha and ordered soju and draft beer on top of it. Keeping it simple since it's round two haha.

## The signature beef rib platter, grilled on the griddle at your table

Jjeojeoseu cooks every dish on the griddle. For the beef rib platter we ordered, the owner grilled the beef ribs and chicken leg fresh right on the griddle.

![The signature beef rib platter served on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu-16-19bm4-900.webp)

The beef rib platter arrived — lightly seasoned grilled beef ribs and chicken leg, meant to be wrapped in tortillas with salsa and vegetables, Mexican-style. With the torch-charred smoky aroma and all the colorful ingredients, the presentation alone got my appetite going again even though this was round two.

![Tabasco sauce placed on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu-17-t8p9o-900.webp)

Maybe because I'm old-school, but I was so happy to see the Tabasco sauce on the table haha. Gotta have that spicy kick for the full flavor.

![A taco loaded with plenty of sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu-19-11iwt-900.webp)

Loading up a tortilla with the beef ribs, chicken, vegetables, and plenty of sauce made for a real treat. A drop or two of spicy Tabasco kicks it up even more haha, and it's delicious. Neither sauce was too strong, so you could add as much as you wanted.

### Mexican-Korean tacos made with perilla leaf

The tortillas were savory and light, with a crispy outer edge that made the tacos even better. And what really stood out is how Jjeojeoseu mixes Mexican and Korean touches — the perilla leaf inside gave it a distinctly Korean feel, which was really memorable.

![A taco with perilla leaf giving it a Korean feel](https://img.superchart.com/images/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu-21-8e4dl-900.webp)

That Korean touch from the perilla leaf made me crave soju all over again haha. The tacos had great umami, and they went really well with soju too.

![Eating just the meat and vegetables without the tortilla](https://img.superchart.com/images/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu/sindang-market-second-round-jijeoseu-22-1msey-900.webp)

It was also great to skip the tortilla and just pile the meat and vegetables on their own. Smoky, sweet, chewy, and spicy all at once — it goes well with highball, soju, and beer alike. Jjeojeoseu is exactly the kind of Sindang Jungang Market favorite that's perfect for a second round without overdoing it.

## Is Jjeojeoseu worth it for a second round in Sindang?
