We had errands to run near Yangjae, so we drove over and stopped by Seonbawi Memil Jangteo Yangjae Branch for a slightly late lunch. Even though we were past the lunch rush, there were still quite a lot of customers. Still, the interior is fairly spacious and turnover is quick, so it didn't feel as busy as I expected. It wasn't just a few clams thrown in — they kept turning up as we ate, so it was quite generous. The noodles were also a bit different from regular kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade, but maybe because of the buckwheat, they had a slightly rough, distinctive buckwheat texture and were much chewier than I expected. They're meat dumplings, but there's a subtle mushroom scent inside. So they had a more fragrant feel than regular meat dumplings, and the filling was moist, which paired well with the noodle soup broth.
