I went for sundae soup (blood sausage soup) and ended up coming back because I fell for the kids' menu :) This is Gohyangok Eolkeun Sundaeguk Wondang Branch.✨

Last time I visited, the sundae soup was great, but the hamburg steak I ordered for my kid turned out to be way better than expected. Adults get sundae soup, kids get hamburg steak — everyone eats what they like, which made it a solid spot for a family meal. So this time I came back with the family again.

The basic side dishes came out first — refreshing yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi) and baechu kimchi (napa cabbage kimchi), thin noodles to add to the soup, plus onion, chili peppers, and ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), all neatly arranged.

The sundae soup at Gohyangok Eolkeun Sundaeguk Wondang Branch comes with a milky broth topped generously with chives, plus plenty of sundae (blood sausage), meat, and offal. The broth had almost no gamy smell — clean, mild, and quietly deep in flavor.

And finally, the sundae soup arrived! Piled high with vivid green chives over the milky broth, it looked warm and hearty just to look at. Stirring it a bit, I found sundae, meat, and various offal packed in generously. A single spoonful had a satisfying amount of solid ingredients — it really felt like a full meal.👍

I tried the broth plain first, without adding anything. Despite being milky, it wasn't heavy or murky-tasting — clean and mild was the first impression. Most importantly, there was almost none of the gamy smell sundae soup can sometimes have, so it was easy to enjoy cleanly. 👏 The broth itself wasn't aggressively salty or spicy — mild but with a quietly deep flavor, good enough to just sip on its own. Adding the chives brought out a fragrant note that made the broth feel even cleaner!

### Adding dadaegi chili paste, somyeon noodles and perilla seed powder

This time I added a bit of chili paste. As I stirred it in, the milky broth turned red and picked up a spicy, savory kick — a totally different charm. I'd recommend enjoying the mild base broth first, then adding chili paste partway through to change things up. 👍 Eating it this way personally let me finish the whole bowl without getting tired of it.😋

The sundae was pretty generous too. It had a bouncy, tender texture that I really liked, and

## The hamburg steak my child was waiting for

The hamburg steak at Gohyangok Eolkeun Sundaeguk Wondang Branch comes on a single plate with salad, pickled radish, and rice. It was moist all the way through with no gamy smell and a mild flavor, so my kid ate it right up.

And now, the dish my kid was waiting for most on this visit! Hamburg steak. ✨ True to a kids' menu, it came out cutely arranged with salad, pickled radish, and rice all on one plate. The sesame dressing on the salad in particular was so nutty and tasty that even the salad got happily eaten.
