Especially if you visit during lunch, they give you a free udon or soba, so I'd really recommend it to anyone looking for a good lunch place in Yangsan! It's right next to Yangsan Busan University Hospital, near the Beomeo Taekji Daehak Pharmacy, so it wasn't hard to find haha. It's free from 6pm to 9am the next morning, so if you're visiting in the evening this is worth keeping in mind ❗️ ## Are Shirokuma's partitioned booth seats good for a date? Shirokuma doesn't have separate private rooms, but the tables are divided by partitions, so I was able to enjoy a more private meal than I expected 😊 That's probably why it seemed like a fine spot not just for a date but for a blind date too haha. The interior overall had a clean, cozy atmosphere! The tables weren't packed too tightly together either, so it was comfortable to eat, and everything was neatly arranged, which gave it a relaxed feel haha. We called ahead and made a reservation before visiting, and since we'd booked in advance the table was already set and we could sit right down without waiting 😊 There's also a waiting area inside with sofas on both sides, so you can wait comfortably! And now my favorite menu item at Shirokuma!!! It's the eggplant sushi 🍆💜 You might wonder whether eggplant and sushi even go together, but the first time I tried it, it was genuinely a pleasant shock!!! I heard eggplant sushi is Shirokuma's signature item, and I was skeptical at first too. That's probably why, unlike a typical sushi place, the rice has a distinctive dark reddish color!! At first glance the color might seem a bit unusual, but once you actually eat it, the rice is moist and soft, so it pairs really well with the sushi haha. If you visit Shirokuma, I hope even people who don't like eggplant will give it a try!!
