Hi, this is Danbi! The weather's been so nice lately that my partner and I have been going out a lot, and this time we visited Meolmeol, a well-known brunch spot in Baekhyeon-dong. We were running errands in Pangyo and stopped by for dinner too — turns out it's just as great in the evening, so I wanted to come back and show you all around :)

## Where is Meolmeol Pangyo, and where do you park?

Meolmeol Pangyo is located at 6 Pangyeok-ro 2beon-gil, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. There's parking right in front of the store, but we parked at a nearby public lot instead :) Public lots are cheap, and since our car is a hybrid we got half off the fee~

Here's the inside of Meolmeol Pangyo! It's pretty spacious and comfortably laid out, with tables for two, four, and groups. Little decorative pieces are placed here and there too, so it's fun just looking around — definitely a place that will be popular with women!?

We spent quite a long time chatting on our date, and by the time the sun went down, the whole place had transformed! They set out actual candles everywhere and turned off the store lights — such a romantic atmosphere, and honestly the perfect Baekhyeon-dong date spot :)

Here's Meolmeol Pangyo's alcohol menu! They had several kinds of red and white wine, and even port wine, which I've been into lately!! It's clear they think about food pairings, so I'd say this place is great not just for Baekhyeon-dong brunch but for dinner too :)

After wandering around Baekhyeon-dong and getting thirsty, this was our lifesaver...♡ Zero cola really is best as Pepsi Lime (???) Served over ice with lemon in the glass, we gulped it down and it was pure happiness haha

## Raspberry endive salad, 19,000 won

Ordered as a kind of appetizer, here comes the raspberry endive salad! Napa cabbage, Greek yogurt, raspberry, peach, jamón (Spanish cured ham) — all ingredients I recognize, but gathered together like this, it felt distinctive.

There's especially handmade Greek yogurt spread underneath like a sauce, and it was nicely thick with a good lemony tang :) I usually eat Greek yogurt with blueberries, but raspberry was a really refreshing combination too!?

Loading the ingredients up like you're building a little boat and tasting them together works great~~ It really felt like a salad you'd get as an appetizer at a hotel, with clear, distinct flavors — the dill and salty jamón were the real kicker haha

## Spicy lemon anchovy pasta, 28,000 won

One of their famous dishes, the spicy lemon anchovy pasta! Lemon pasta is great, anchovy pasta is great, but whoever at Meolmeol thought to combine the two... a culinary genius?

They said it's best eaten with roasted lemon and cheese mixed well together with arugula. Wow, but the umami of the anchovy, the fragrance of the lemon, and a spicy kick creeping up afterward — it felt like it grabbed all my senses at once, so interesting? It had such a rich, layered flavor, and I think it would pair really well with sparkling wine!

### Extra carrot rapée, 5,000 won, with a toasty sesame-oil aroma

We also tried the carrot rapée that my partner loves! Usually carrot rapée has that whole-grain mustard taste — tangy and a bit sharp — but Meolmeol's carrot rapée has a nutty, sesame-oil-like flavor instead!? It was especially moving eaten with dill, and honestly the most distinctive flavor among all the Baekhyeon-dong brunch spots I've tried :)

## Is Meolmeol Pangyo good for a weekend evening date?

Even on a weekend evening, the atmosphere was great for conversation, and thanks to the slightly dim lighting, we had a really lovely date in Baekhyeon-dong! Next time I want to leave the car behind and try it with wine — there were so many more dishes I wanted to try :)
