I was looking for somewhere to eat with my kid around Suji, and I found this place — somewhere we could both eat sundaeguk (blood sausage soup) together! Honestly, sometimes adults are craving gukbap but there's nothing on the menu a kid would actually eat. At Yeonnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Suji-gu Office Station Branch, I didn't have to worry about that — the whole family could eat together. And the soup itself was genuinely delicious, so I left really satisfied. Let me tell you all about it!

Yeonnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk is a sundaeguk specialist that started in 2017 in the sundae alley of Yongin Central Market. Among the old-school shops in the market, they've built their own signature flavor and kept it going ever since. Honestly, everyone has different tastes when it comes to sundaeguk, right? Yeonnal Gyeongseong seems to have found a formula that suits a wide range of palates, and they get a lot of praise for being the tastiest and for generous portions. As a sundaeguk shop that started in Yongin, it felt like it's earned its place at Suji-gu Office Station too as somewhere to get a hearty meal.

## How to find it from Suji-gu Office Station, and where to park

Yeonnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Suji-gu Office Station Branch is about a 3-minute walk from Exit 2 of Suji-gu Office Station. It's down an alley but not hard to find, so it's easy to get to.

For parking, if you park at the Yongin Lifelong Learning Center lot across the street, they give you parking time support :)

I drove to visit this Suji-gu Office Station restaurant too, so I used that lot. The public parking lot is fairly spacious, so parking wasn't hard at all.

## Is the restaurant comfortable for eating with a child?

The Suji-gu Office Station branch of Yeonnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk was clean overall and had a comfortable atmosphere for a meal. Instead of the overly old-school vibe you might expect from a sundaeguk place, it felt easy to just walk in for a casual meal.

It's a fine spot to come solo for a bowl of gukbap, and it was also no hassle to bring my kid here for a meal like we did. In fact, this place gets customers coming in solo, for meal gatherings, and for family outings.

This time I ordered the boiled pork/sticky sundae set meal and the children's gukbap set. Ordering like this made mealtime so much easier — the adult gets a proper bowl of gukbap, and the kid has their own dedicated menu.

## How was the pyeonyuk and sticky sundae set meal?

Let's start with the basic table setting. One interesting detail: salted shrimp comes as a basic side dish!

You can even get more from the self-serve bar. If you love organ meat, isn't that just great news? haha

The set meal comes with gukbap plus boiled pork and sticky sundae, so it made for quite a full spread.

I really, really loved the gukbap. The broth had a rich, deeply savory flavor with no gamey smell — very clean.

There was plenty of filling too, so mixing in a bowl of rice made it super hearty.

I've had sundaeguk at a lot of places since I love it, and this one was genuinely delicious. It wasn't just "good enough that I could bring my kid" — it was flavor I'd come back for on its own.

Later I tried it with dadegi (chili paste) mixed in, but I actually preferred it clear haha. Even with nothing added, the base flavor holds up on its own.

Being able to taste a little of everything made me glad I went with the set meal.

## What comes in the children's gukbap set, and what my child thought

Yeonnal Gyeongseong's children's gukbap set comes with rice, a soup with lean meat, gwangcheon gim (seaweed), pork cutlet, and baek-kimchi — a solid full meal for a kid.

Having something like pork cutlet on the set made me think it'd be easier even for kids who aren't big on gukbap.

My kid finished off a whole bowl of rice with the soup, seaweed, and side dishes without any trouble 👍

This visit to Yeonnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Suji-gu Office Station Branch with my kid was great. I loved that the kid could eat the children's gukbap set while the adult got a proper bowl of gukbap — each of us eating what suited us.
