But my friend loves tteokbokki so much I couldn't nag her out of ordering it haha. But one bite completely changed my mind. It tasted great, but wasn't sticky or heavy — light enough to eat alongside gimbap on a lunch break. Maybe because of the apple and carrot, it wasn't cloying and had a clean finish. First time I've had tteokbokki broth like this, and I think it'll stay on my mind. I looked closely and found they'd even included a candy to cleanse the palate haha. Great touch from the owner! So cute. It looked pretty and tasted fresh too — perfect for a mood-lifting lunch. I only stopped by because it was near my friend's office, but it exceeded expectations, so I'd love to come back next time I'm in Euljiro.
