I went to check out the beauty pop-up at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo, then headed over to the Baekhyeon-dong café street for an early dinner when I stumbled onto a lasagna spot with such a good vibe — Andover, a Pangyo restaurant known for its brunch. Andover values balance over trends, and started in Cheongju back in '23 before moving to run a market and restaurant here on the Baekhyeon-dong café street in Pangyo — the fundamentals felt really solid.

It's open Tue–Sun 11:30–22:00, with a weekday break time of 15:30–17:00, and closed on Sept 25 for Chuseok.

You can park in the alley in front of the building, and if it's full, they'll support 1 hour of parking at the Baekhyeon-dong café street public lot. ※ If you're bringing a pet, terrace seating only.

The interior is clean with black tones and wood accents, and the round tables plus 6- and 8-person group tables are spaced generously apart — great for anniversary dates or group gatherings. Since we came early, we were the first guests of the evening service, but by the time our food arrived the place had filled up with locals and wine-club groups. We ordered a salad, the signature Andover lasagna, and jambon cream pasta — and honestly it might be the best lasagna I've ever had, a true best-of-my-life lasagna spot. If it's your first visit, ordering the lasagna is a must 👍

## Burrata tomato salad, 19,000 won

✔️ Burrata tomato salad, ₩19,000. Andover's salad topped with cherry tomatoes, fresh vegetables, and a big chunk of fresh burrata cheese. Given the price, the wild arugula and salad greens were nice and fresh, and the cherry tomatoes were piled on generously. There's an olive oil dressing underneath with a strong olive oil flavor that paired really well with the arugula — so good 😆

✔️ Jambon cream pasta, ₩25,000. Andover's signature pasta with house-made cream sauce, jambon ham, and pistachio. The ham wasn't too salty so the smokiness wasn't overpowering, and the soft, thick cream sauce paired really well with the wild arugula. It was convenient to grab dishes from the self-serve bar — the jambon cream pasta was genuinely fresh and rich yet moist.

## Andover lasagna, 29,000 won: the 650g cross-section

✔️ Andover lasagna, ₩29,000. Layer upon layer of house-made ragu sauce packed with meat, cheese, and béchamel sauce make up the Andover lasagna. It's labeled at 650g, and honestly it's so dense there's no empty space inside at all. To split it into separate dishes we cut it in half with a knife, and looking at the cross-section, the pasta sheets were really just there to wrap around the béchamel and house ragu sauce — genuinely dense, high-quality lasagna.

## A lasagna skeptic's verdict on Andover

The lasagna I had in Las Vegas once had such a strong raw-flour taste that I stopped ordering it afterward, but Andover's house-made lasagna genuinely has a rich, thick ragu sauce that's actually delicious. Even people who don't like lasagna can enjoy the real deal at Andover, a Pangyo restaurant known for its brunch. If you're out shopping at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo or wandering the Baekhyeon-dong café street, I'd recommend stopping in for a meal.
