Today I want to share my review of Bas Burger, located in Daechi-dong. I usually love burgers, and while searching for a good burger place near Samseong Station, I ended up here. Bas Burger has a slightly different vibe than your typical burger joint.

Not only can you enjoy burgers here, but also draft beer and a variety of side dishes, so it's good for a simple meal, and in the evening it works well as a meal-plus-drinking-snack combo. If you're looking for good Samseong Station restaurants or Samseong Station burgers, this is a place worth checking out at least once.

The first thing that caught my eye when I arrived was how spacious the exterior was. Unlike a typical small burger shop, this place is quite large, and there's an outdoor deck space outside as well.

On a nice day, enjoying a burger and beer outdoors here would feel almost like an outdoor pojangmacha (street tent bar) vibe. So rather than just a place to eat, it seemed like a good spot for office workers to gather for a casual beer after work.

Once inside, you immediately see a self-service kiosk near the entrance. If you're getting takeout, you can browse the menu and order right there, and if you're dining in, you can also order from your seat.

The interior was much more spacious than I expected. The tables were nicely spaced apart and there was a variety of seating, making it a good spot to visit with friends or a larger group.

I especially liked that every table has a tablet installed. You can sit down and slowly browse menu photos to order, without having to flag down staff or feel rushed while deciding. That makes it a great fit for anyone looking for a Samseong Station office worker lunch spot or a Samseong Station lunch restaurant.

One of the things I personally liked most about Bas Burger was the potato chips. Separate from whatever you order, they give you a basic serving of chips, and if you run out, you can ask staff for a refill. The chips were thin and crispy, perfect for snacking on lightly before the burgers arrive.

They'd also pair well with beer as a simple snack. On one side, sauces, napkins, wet wipes, and chips were all set up for easy access to whatever you needed.

Beyond burgers, there was a wide range of sides like crunch chicken, mozza cheese bars, cheese, and salad, plus draft beer, giving plenty of choice. I especially liked that rather than just eating a burger and being done, you could order several sides and share them.

Today we ordered the Bas Burger set, the Double Crunch, and added a mozza cheese bar on top. Once you finish ordering you get a buzzer, and the food came out faster than I expected.

First up was the Bas Burger set. It came with a generous portion of fries, making the whole thing feel quite substantial. The drink was customizable, so I went with Coke Zero.

Cutting the burger in half, I found tomato, lettuce, onion, and a thick beef patty. The patty had good thickness, so I could really taste the meat with each bite, and the tomato and lettuce kept the overall flavor from feeling greasy, finishing fresh instead.

The balance between the patty and vegetables was especially good, making this a great pick for anyone who wants to properly enjoy a burger as a burger. The size was pretty big too — almost a bit much to eat one-handed (haha). Still, having so many ingredients come together in one bite, with juicy patty and crunchy veggies, was a great combination.

Next up was the Double Crunch. This menu comes with crunch chicken, a mozza cheese bar, coleslaw, and morning bread, along with cheese dipping sauce and yogurt sauce.

This was a genuinely fun menu. The crunch chicken had a crispy fried exterior, so the first bite gave a crunchy texture, while the inside was relatively soft and mild. Dipping it in the yogurt sauce added a fresh, tangy note to the savory, mild chicken — personally, I felt this was the best pairing.

There was also the fun of building your own with the morning bread (soft dinner roll). Splitting the roll in half and piling on fries, coleslaw, cheese sauce, and crunch chicken creates your own little burger. Being able to make all kinds of combinations like this is one of Bas Burger's fun charms, I think.

The mozza cheese bar we added as a side was also not to be skipped. It's coated in a thin batter and fried crispy, and cutting it in half revealed a fairly thick layer of mozzarella cheese inside. Eating it while warm, the cheese was melted and soft, and the combination of crispy batter with chewy, savory mozzarella cheese was great.

It's tasty on its own, but dipping it into the accompanying cheese sauce deepens the cheesy flavor even more, making it a great side to enjoy. If burgers and fries alone feel like they're missing something, adding a side like this is worth considering.
