Here's my review of Wolhadong, famous for Insadong Korean gomtang (bone broth soup), the go-to gomtang spot near Anguk Station and a popular lunch pick in Insadong! I'll write it in detail so it helps you out! ## Where Wolhadong is and its hours: the lunch batch sold out Wolhadong is on Insadong 8-gil, so it's easy to find from the Anguk Station side! It's on the ground floor with a lot of seats, so the place was bigger than I expected! I'd already heard it's a famous Korean restaurant that recreates Joseon-era cooking methods so precisely that there's no pork smell at all! And right next to the table were cups, various dishes, tissues and so on, so it was easy to grab things yourself! Orders are placed by scanning the QR code on the table! It's not on the printed menu, but we ordered the Wolha Gomtang set that only shows up when you scan the QR code, plus the squid muchim (spicy vinegared salad)! Add chili oil for a spicy red broth Finally, Wolhadong's signature Wolha Gomtang arrived — a pork gomtang with a deep meaty aroma and tender meat that really stood out! The broth was so clean and delicious, and there was way more meat than I expected, which I loved!! There was pepper and salt on the table too, so we could season it further to taste! And when we were about halfway through, adding more of the chili oil on the table gave it a bit of a hongtang feel, which I loved — we tried it with chili oil later on too and it was a whole different, great flavor, and I totally understood why they recommend eating it that way!! Eating the meat together with the sauce and seasonings was really delicious~! It made for such a great meal! Can you tell how good it was from the fact that we did the dishes? Hahahaha. My mom can be picky, but not just her — my dad and I were all really satisfied!
