This is a bar I went to with friends for a second round, and the staff were so friendly and the vibe was so good that all my friends loved it too. I figured it'd also make a great date spot for later nights out in Hapjeong or Hongdae, so I'm writing it down.

## Indoors instead of the terrace: Rosetta's atmosphere

There were four of us, and we tried to sit outside, but it was still muggy so we moved indoors! Once it gets a bit cooler, sitting on the terrace would be so nice too.

The indoor vibe felt old-fashioned and classy, which made it feel like a great place for cocktails or whiskey. If you're looking for a cocktail bar near Hapjeong Station or a whiskey bar for a second round near Hapjeong Station, I definitely recommend checking this place out! I took photos of the whole menu, so take a look and ask for recommendations when you visit — you'll be satisfied.

## The art cocktail menu and ordering Summer Sunlight

I was so happy I guess I just kept snapping away... open your eyes wide and look ^^ ... Unlike the regular menu, there's an art version of the menu. (Highly recommend.) These seem to be cocktails Rosetta created themselves, and it's genuinely fun reading the descriptions.

When I go to a bar for a second round I usually stick to whiskey, but at Rosetta in Hapjeong this art cocktail menu was so fun that I read every description and ordered a cocktail instead. I got Summer Sunlight, which has a pear-flavored base, and it was so good that my friends kept stealing sips, which annoyed me to no end ^^...

## The standard cocktail and whiskey menu, plus snacks

Here's the menu with the standard cocktails, whiskeys, and more! There were some simple snacks too, and I could see some options that would've been great to enjoy if we weren't already full. Next time I want to visit on an empty stomach and try the small plates alongside the cocktails!

The moment I saw the Summer Sunlight art cocktail I was sold and picked it right away, while you can see my friends agonizing over their choices in the photo... come on, hurry up and pick. But out of the four drinks we ordered that night, Summer Sunlight was the goat.

## Why it also works as a Hongdae/Hapjeong date spot

When you go out for a date in Hongdae or Hapjeong there are so many places, but somehow it's hard to settle on one and you end up agonizing over it. If you and your date enjoy cocktails or whiskey, I highly recommend Rosetta as a Hongdae cocktail bar date course! I've always just had soju around Hapjeong, so this was my first time at a cocktail-and-whiskey bar like this in the area. It was so good ..><! It seems to already be well-known among regulars, since customers kept streaming in.

## Four-drink review: you have to try Summer Sunlight

Between us we had four drinks: Balvenie whiskey, a bartender's recommended cocktail (I forget the name..), Summer Sunlight, and Macunaima. You have to try Summer Sunlight!! It's lower in alcohol than the other cocktails too, so it's really easy to drink and genuinely delicious. Kind of like an ade haha. My friends kept coveting my Summer Sunlight so I barely got to taste much of my own drink...

It was so good that now I'm curious about the other art cocktails! Next visit I'm going to try a different one from the art menu. Oh, and if you ask for a cocktail or whiskey recommendation, the staff genuinely and thoughtfully help you decide, so if you're torn, definitely ask for a recommendation! The cocktail my friend got recommended, whose name I don't remember, was a 10,000% hit too!

We visited already a bit tipsy so we probably came across a little scattered, but the staff treated us kindly and explained everything so thoroughly that we had such a fun time. Every drink was delicious, so everyone finished their glass ^^,,,

## The whiskey and cognac lineup

Honestly, all of us, myself included, are more whiskey people than cocktail people, and the whiskey selection here was also really varied. I'm especially a cognac lover, and I noticed bottles set up prominently all around. If you want to experience a wide variety of spirits, I highly recommend Rosetta near Hapjeong Station!

## Coming back to the outdoor terrace once the weather warms up

The terrace vibe is also great. There's a reason Hongdae's outdoor drinking spots are famous. It seems like a perfect atmosphere for a second round after already drinking elsewhere, or for people who can't drink much but still want a nice date spot in Hongdae/Hapjeong haha. Once the weather warms up, I'm definitely coming back to sit on the terrace and soak up the atmosphere!
