## A large café on G Floor, right by Yangchon Station

I heard there was a large café in Gimpo with a really special atmosphere, so I went to check it out. There are fun things to see, including media art, making it a nice place to visit with children. There is also a no-kids zone, where adults can relax and chat comfortably in peace. On top of that, it is a great brunch spot where you can try dishes by a chef formerly of the 63 Building. Let me start my weekday visit to The Nillai, a large café near Yangchon Station in Gimpo where every space has a different mood~^^

The Nillai is a large café located right in front of Yangchon Station, near Lake Park in Gimpo Hangang New Town. It is on the G Floor of the huge KZM Tower. There is plenty of parking, so you can visit without worrying about where to park. Enter the building and go down one level to find The Nillai. Huh? Why am I going down? Is the café underground? It is not, so do not be alarmed—just head in. Haha.

## A sunlit interior like a hotel lounge

I came down to G Floor from the entrance and opened the café door—and what a surprise! A broad, sun-filled space opened up before me, and I could not help but admire it. Wide, comfortable sofas sit by the windows, and they made me think of a hotel lounge.

Along with drinks and bakery items, The Nillai offers a wide range of brunch and meal options, including pizza, pasta, and salads. It is run by a chef formerly of the 63 Building, so it is fair to expect good food, right? This is not a café that only feels like a hotel lounge—the food has an upscale touch too.

Sunlight streaming through the large windows gave the interior a cozy, warm feeling. They have a good eye for cute details too! One side of the café has a The Nillai × Gwakcheori collaboration merchandise corner. I could not just walk past the goods, so I stopped to browse for a while. There is quite a variety, from acrylic keyrings and coin purses to mugs, so be sure to have a look~^^

## A media-art room that changes with the season

The media-art room is another unusual space at The Nillai. It transforms in different ways depending on the season or special events. During the recent World Cup season, they even showed football matches here live. At Christmas, a large tree is installed to create a winter atmosphere. With mirrored pillars throughout, it is also a great photo spot.

This is The Nillai's signature space, featuring water that looks like a swimming pool. It is a no-kids zone where children under 13 are not allowed, so you can stay as quietly and comfortably as the atmosphere suggests. Being here feels as though you have stepped into another café, which is fun.

Salt bread, mentaiko salt bread, basil tomato bread, carrot cake, mochi bread, ssukjeolmi, egg tarts, croissants, soboro chestnut milk bread, fresh milk bread, and strawberry jam. The bakery selection was not enormous, but it was well stocked with delicious breads.

We sat at a spot where we could gaze at the water. Combined with the café's atmosphere, it somehow made me feel as though I were traveling.

We ordered a matcha latte and an apple mango yogurt smoothie, and picked out a variety of bakery items too.

The matcha latte had just the right amount of sweetness, and the apple mango yogurt smoothie was even better for being smoothly blended.

Iced roll, ₩8,800. It was delicious, with plenty of cream cheese tucked between soft slices of milk bread.

Basil tomato bread, ₩7,800. It was full of basil aroma with little pockets of cheese throughout. I liked it even more because the bread itself was soft.

Mentaiko salt bread, ₩5,500. Personally, the mentaiko salt bread was the most delicious item. The savory salted pollock roe gives it incredible flavor. If I had to choose just one, I would go with this mentaiko salt bread~^^ Highly recommended!

Carrot cake, ₩9,000. The crunchy, sweet crumble on top of the carrot cake adds texture and makes it even tastier.

The Nillai is an unusual café with so many different charms. Its pool-like water space creates an atmosphere that feels like a resort, while the media-art room offers something new to see each season. As it is run by a chef formerly of the 63 Building, it is also a wonderful brunch spot where every dish feels special. A large café in Gimpo that is well worth visiting at least once—do stop by The Nillai~^^
