Looking for lunch around Magok, I ended up at Tteudon Magok Branch, which has everything from pork cutlet to udon on the menu ♥

## Where is Tteudon Magok Branch? Hours and parking

Tteudon Magok Branch is located at 194 Gonghang-daero, Unit 216, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. It's an easy walk from Magok Station, so it's a solid pick when you're nearby and looking for lunch or dinner.

It's open daily from 10:30 to 21:00, with last order at 20:30. Parking is also available, so it's convenient to visit by car too.

Once inside, the place was bigger than I expected. Plenty of tables, and the spacing between seats wasn't too tight, so it was comfortable for the two of us to sit and eat.

There are a lot of offices around Magok, so I'd guess plenty of office workers stop by on weekday lunches, and since the space is on the larger side, it also looked fine for bigger groups. There's a kids' zone set up on one side too, so if you're searching for a Magok Station pork cutlet restaurant to bring kids to, this could work well.

At Tteudon Magok Branch you order through a tablet at your table. Looking at the menu, it's not just plain cutlet — there are cheese-stuffed cutlets and spicy options too, quite a variety.

Since we came as two, we ordered mala udon (₩10,900) and Tteudon sweet potato cheese cutlet (₩13,900). Total: ₩24,800! Pairing a sweet, savory dish like the sweet potato cheese cutlet with the spicy mala udon worked out better than I expected haha.

## What is the kids' zone at Tteudon Magok like?

Tteudon Magok Branch has a separate kids' zone set up on one side. It's a cushioned space with toys and even an arcade machine, so it looked comfortable for families with kids to dine here.

And personally, what I liked most was the self-serve bar ♥ Plates and utensils were all neatly set out, and you could grab whatever side dishes or extras you wanted yourself.

There were side dishes like danmuji (pickled radish) and pickles that go well with cutlet, and best of all, there was even tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes) available haha. I grabbed a little before the cutlet arrived, and having various things to pick at meant I wasn't bored while waiting.

You could also ladle out warm soup yourself, and next to it were dinner rolls and strawberry jam.

Dipping the dinner rolls into the soup was tasty, and spreading on the strawberry jam was good too, so my hand kept reaching over there!!

## Mala udon, 10,900 won: how spicy is it?

First up, the mala udon! I picked it because I was craving something spicier and punchier than regular udon. The broth carries that distinct mala spiciness, and eating it with the thick, chewy udon noodles was more addictive than I expected haha. Best of all, it paired really well with the sweet potato cheese cutlet we ordered alongside it.

After a few bites of the sweet potato cheese cutlet, a sip of the mala udon broth completely reset my palate! Then back to the noodles, then the cutlet again — alternating between the two meant neither one got tiring, and I could finish both to the end.

Whenever I go to a cutlet place, I usually just order cutlet, but Tteudon lets you pick a noodle dish alongside it too, which made combining menu items easy for the two of us. If you like spicy broths or mala flavors, give the mala udon a try alongside your cutlet haha.

And the cutlet we chose that day was the Tteudon sweet potato cheese cutlet ♥ I like cheese cutlet and I like sweet potato, so the moment I saw it on the menu I knew I had to try it haha.

The outside was fried crisp, and inside was sweet potato and cheese, so it was noticeably sweeter and more savory than a regular cutlet. With the sweet potato's soft sweetness layered with the cheese's richness, anyone who likes a sweet-and-savory combo will especially love this one!

It ate very differently from a plain cheese cutlet — the sweet potato made it much softer and sweeter. I dipped it in sauce and took sips of the mala udon broth in between, and the combination was really good. If you're looking for a Magok Station pork cutlet restaurant and want something more unusual than the basic cutlet, I'd recommend the sweet potato cheese cutlet.

## What to order when two people share at Tteudon

At first we each just picked what we individually wanted, but after eating, I realized ordering the two dishes together was the right call. The sweet potato cheese cutlet is sweet and savory, and the mala udon is spicy — they filled in each other's gaps.

Eating only cutlet can get a bit heavy after a while, but a sip of the mala udon broth resets your appetite for more cutlet haha. And going the other way, when the mala udon started feeling a bit too spicy, the sweet, savory cutlet balanced it out nicely. If you're visiting as a pair, I'd definitely recommend ordering one of each and sharing like this ♥

The dinner rolls at the self-serve bar are good with soup, but you can also stuff cutlet inside to make a mini cutlet burger. Since we ordered the sweet potato cheese cutlet, eating it with the bread added even more of that sweet, savory sweet-potato-and-cheese flavor for a different experience. That said, between the mala udon, the cutlet, the soup, and the rolls, the portion was seriously filling haha.

The place is spacious and has a kids' zone, so it looked good for eating with friends and also fine as a family dining spot. Above all, I really liked the combo of mala udon and the Tteudon sweet potato cheese cutlet this time.
