Pork gukbap in Duryu-dong, Daegu with all-you-can-eat sundae: Mubokka
In short
Mubokka Gukbap Gamsam Branch is a pork gukbap (rice soup) restaurant with beef-bone broth in Duryu-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu, near Gamsam Station Exit 3, where sundae (Korean blood sausage) and pork offal are unlimited at the self-bar. The writer ordered the 1-person suyuk (boiled pork) set and the assorted gukbap; the pork front leg had run out, so the suyuk came as pork belly, which was still springy and moist, and the homemade kimchi and kkakdugi (radish kimchi) made with Korean-grown ingredients were satisfying. Mubokka Gukbap Gamsam Branch is a gukbap spot worth recommending to anyone who wants clean bone broth and generous portions.

Today I visited Mubokka Gukbap Gamsam Branch (무보까국밥 감삼점), a great restaurant in Duryu-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu. Good value, good flavor, and carefully made side dishes too! Let me tell you all about it.
Mubokka Gukbap Gamsam Branch: location, parking and hours
Mubokka Gukbap Gamsam Branch is near Gamsam Station Exit 3, at 192 Dangsan-ro, 1st floor, Dalseo-gu, Daegu. It is open 7:00-22:30 (last order 21:50) and closed on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month.

There is a parking lot behind the restaurant, so it's easy to visit by car too.

What makes Mubokka Gukbap's bone broth different?
Mubokka is a well-known Daegu gukbap (rice soup) restaurant famous for its clean bone broth with no additives. Nothing goes into the broth except beef bones and water, so you get a rich, savory broth that's also good for your health. They reportedly hold the first bone broth patent registered in Korea, so you can eat here with confidence!
On top of that, the sundae (Korean blood sausage) and pork offal are unlimited, so the value is great too.

5th anniversary event: 8,000-won pork gukbap and a free drink or soju for 2 or more
This October marks Mubokka Gamsam's 5th anniversary, so the basic pork gukbap is ₩8,000, and if you order for 2 or more, you get a free drink or a bottle of soju. The generous owner prepared a special event~!

The interior is spacious and comfortable, and it looks like a good place to visit with a group, too.

Mubokka Gukbap Gamsam Branch menu and drink prices
The menu is varied: all kinds of gukbap, plus bossam (boiled pork wraps), suyuk (sliced boiled pork) and sundae jeongol (sundae hot pot). What stood out is that soju and beer are ₩3,000! Drink prices have gone up a lot lately, so I loved how fair they are here.
We ordered these two things.
- 1-person suyuk set (pork gukbap + suyuk)
- Assorted gukbap

Homemade kimchi and kkakdugi made with Korean-grown ingredients
I heard they make both the kimchi and the kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) themselves with domestic ingredients. The side dishes were great too. A gukbap place is only truly good if the kimchi is good, and this one totally passes👍

All-you-can-eat sundae and pork offal self-bar
At the self-bar you can take as much kimchi and as many side dishes as you want to eat!

And the sundae and pork offal I mentioned earlier are also at the self-bar, so you can help yourself as much as you like. They're kept piping hot, so it feels freshly made all the time.

I freshened up my mouth with moist sundae, liver and lung~ They taste great with the gukbap, too~

1-person suyuk set: pork belly instead of front leg
With the 1-person suyuk set, the suyuk comes out first. It's the amount for a single set, but it was a lot, which surprised me.
Normally suyuk is made with pork shoulder, but they had run out when we went, so we got pork belly suyuk. The pork belly was plenty springy, moist and delicious, but the owner said the pork shoulder is even better, so I'll visit again to try it!

The suyuk was well boiled. The seasoned dried radish strips (mumallaengi) were also just my taste. The trick is to eat it on top of white rice!✨️

How does the pork gukbap taste? Packed with meat and glass noodles
The pork gukbap included in the 1-person suyuk set comes out bubbling in a ttukbaegi (earthenware pot). It got my mouth watering the moment it arrived!

It was packed with meat and glass noodles, as hearty as I expected. It's very hot when it first comes out, so even if you want to dig in fast, be careful not to burn your hands or tongue🤭
Maybe because it's a patented gukbap broth, it was clean and rich, with no fuss at all. The meat itself was especially delicious, so the balance was really good.

Assorted gukbap with pork offal and sundae
The assorted gukbap had offal and sundae in it too. With the offal there was definitely a chew, so the texture was great, and the sundae was especially tasty, so next time I'm going to try the sundae gukbap!

To finish, there's also a coffee machine for dessert.
Is Mubokka Gukbap Gamsam Branch worth a visit?
Mubokka Gukbap Gamsam Branch in Duryu-dong, Dalseo-gu, Daegu! Even among the many gukbap places, you can feel its stubbornness about flavor, its distinct charm and its generous spirit, so I'm happy to recommend it with confidence.
