Two people ordered the value set for 2-3 (sashimi rice bowl, 4 fried shrimp, buckwheat noodles, 12 pieces of sushi) plus the Sonsi ankimo futomaki roll during a packed dinner rush, finishing nearly everything, and even the cold buckwheat noodles came in a portion generous enough to be its own dish. I tried to take photos without bothering the other diners too much. For someone like me who's always disappointed by not getting enough futomaki no matter which sushi place I go to, this Gyeongsan-Yeongdae favorite was the best choice. We ordered one value set good for 2-3 people plus the Sonsi ankimo futomaki. Usually a sashimi bowl alone costs ₩10,000-20,000, right? I'd wondered a bit whether it made sense for two of us to order the set for 2-3, but my husband said he wanted this sashimi bowl, so we went for it — and in the end it was a great choice. It felt like getting to try all of Sonsi Sushi's famous menu items at once. If three college students came to eat this, the value for money would be off the charts. When you're eating sushi, it can get a little rich after a while, and that's when a sip of cold buckwheat broth really hits the spot. Is there even rice in here? Around Suseong Lake, just the futomaki alone usually runs ₩20,000-30,000, so is this Sonsi Sushi price for real?! It's hard to believe the quality is this good even accounting for students' budgets. That explains why the seasoning felt so well balanced — like it had that natural flavor without forced MSG or sweeteners, and my stomach felt light and comfortable afterward. All in all, it was a very satisfying meal. Next time I'm in Gyeongsan, I'll definitely be visiting Sonsi Sushi again. I looked it up and found out there's also a Hayang branch — I'd love to check that one out if I get the chance.
