Unlike a regular jambon-beurre with its heavy butter flavor, this one had the salty taste of jambon, the spicy kick of jalapeño, and the savory richness of tofu cream cheese all mixed together — really tasty. I'm not a fan of greasy food and prefer savory bread over sweet, so this was right up my alley. I also swapped the bread to ciabatta, though it wasn't the soft ciabatta most people picture — it was crispy on the outside, chewy like ciabatta on the inside. If you're expecting a completely soft ciabatta you might be disappointed, but thinking back, it had the exact same texture as the ciabatta I had while traveling in Italy. This is probably the authentic version, haha.
