## In short

Petrico is a soufflé dessert café on Jandari-ro in Mapo, Seoul, a short walk from Hapjeong Station Exit 2. At Petrico the order was a fruit soufflé with maple syrup, TWG crème caramel tea, and a coco lime-ade, and the soufflé is baked to order, so the wait is about 15 minutes. Fragrant tea and a cloud-soft soufflé in one sitting make Petrico a calm, spacious place to slow down.

> Petrico, a Hapjeong café known for soufflé — Hongdae dessert taste and vibe, 100% on point

I was looking for a dessert spot near Hongdae and this time I went to Petrico.

## Where is Petrico, and what are the hours and parking?

Petrico is at 75 Jandari-ro, 1st floor, Mapo-gu, Seoul (466-7 Seogyo-dong). Hours are Mon–Fri 8am–10pm and Sat–Sun 10am–8pm, and parking is available!!

You can walk here from Hapjeong Station Exit 2, so if you're looking for a Hapjeong Station café, this location is worth checking first! Parking's available too~~~ The red brick exterior with big windows caught my eye from far away.

## Inside Petrico: a calm, spacious room that suits studying

Walking into Petrico, the space was bigger than I expected. High ceilings and seats spaced comfortably apart — overall a calm yet lively atmosphere?!

Wooden tables and chairs blend with soft lighting, and I noticed the little props and plants on each table.

Some people were chatting, others were quietly studying — it's a calm café, good for studying. The overall muted colors make it a comfortable space to sit for a while, whether eating dessert or talking.

## What we ordered at Petrico

Here's what I ordered at Petrico that day.

- Fruit soufflé
- TWG crème caramel tea
- Coco lime-ade

![Soufflé and drinks set up at Petrico](https://img.superchart.com/images/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle-09-j22va-900.webp)

The soufflé is made to order, so it doesn't come out right after you order it. It takes about 15 minutes — a menu made with real care. You need a bit of patience, but since it's made piping hot, it's better to visit with time to spare.

### TWG crème caramel tea

![A cup of Petrico's TWG crème caramel tea](https://img.superchart.com/images/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle-10-6zr4q-966.webp)

I started with the drinks first, and personally the TWG crème caramel tea really impressed me.

As soon as you bring the cup close, the aroma bursts out~ Sweet caramel notes mixed with a subtly spicy edge, giving it a charm different from just a simple sweet tea. Honestly, this is a drink I'd want to order for home~~

Sweet, I guess you'd call it~ With a slightly spicy note lingering at the end, it paired really well with the dessert.

### Coco lime-ade

![A glass of Petrico's coco lime-ade](https://img.superchart.com/images/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle-13-1w2hx-900.webp)

I was craving something refreshing so I also ordered the coco lime-ade, and it was pretty tasty too.

The tart, zippy flavor of lime comes through first, followed by a soft coconut finish, so it wasn't just plain sweet like a regular ade. A good pairing with dessert if you like refreshing drinks!

## Petrico's fruit soufflé: cloud-soft texture and banana brûlée

And then the fruit soufflé I'd been waiting for finally arrived! I gasped at how it looked.

A round, puffed-up soufflé arrived on the table with an assortment of fruit and cream — the visuals were insane the moment it landed on the table.

They drizzle maple syrup over it — this is what I'd been wanting to try.

![Drizzling maple syrup over the fruit soufflé](https://img.superchart.com/images/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle-16-15nxe-900.webp)

![Soufflé topped with banana brûlée, kiwi, and blueberries](https://img.superchart.com/images/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle-17-zdfkn-900.webp)

The visuals were insane — I actually came here because of a photo like this. Banana brûlée, kiwi, blueberry, orange, whipped cream that tasted fully of milk, and a cloud-like soufflé — that's the fruit soufflé!!!!

The soufflé especially was incredibly soft and melted away — wow, it really impressed me. It just melts and vanishes.

How did they get the sugar coating on the banana brûlée so smooth... I was amazed. It tasted like dalgona (Korean sugar candy).

![Cross-section of the smooth sugar-coated banana brûlée](https://img.superchart.com/images/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle-18-1pk8b-900.webp)

I loved how varied the combinations were to eat.

![A soft piece of soufflé cut with a fork](https://img.superchart.com/images/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle-19-j705d-900.webp)

Adding a bit of cream makes it even softer, and the fruit's tartness balances out the soufflé's sweetness, so I kept trying different combinations.

![Eating the fruit soufflé topped with whipped cream and fruit](https://img.superchart.com/images/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle-20-gekj9-900.webp)

It's pretty for photos too, and since one plate lets you enjoy soufflé, fruit, and cream together, it also seemed good for sharing with a group. I can confidently say this is a soufflé spot near Hapjeong/Hongdae worth bringing friends to.

## Is Petrico worth a visit? Final verdict

![Soufflé and two drinks placed on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle/petrico-hapjeong-twg-caramel-souffle-21-1uffm-900.webp)

At Petrico, a Hapjeong café, I tried all three — the fruit soufflé, TWG crème caramel tea, and coco lime-ade — and each had its own personality, making it fun to pick according to mood.

In particular, the fragrant TWG crème caramel tea stuck with me, and the coco lime-ade's refreshing taste paired well with dessert too~

If you're looking for a Hongdae dessert spot, rather than just going for the soufflé alone, I'd recommend picking a drink to go with it and enjoying it leisurely. Petrico, a Hapjeong Station café, stays in my memory as a place to relax quietly while enjoying pretty desserts, tea, and ade all in one sitting~~
