The exterior feels like a restaurant you might come across down a quiet side street in Japan. The tables were spaced reasonably well, and it seemed fine for a work dinner or a larger group of friends. As you would expect from an izakaya, it was neither overly bright nor overly dark! Being able to enjoy Yomo while looking outside made it seem full of atmosphere. And there are private rooms too! For soup dishes, there was Kansai oden nabe, and they also sold tokkuri sake carafes and regular drinks. There was a huge variety of alcohol—unfortunately, tsukune was sold out that day, so I couldn't have it ㅜㅜ This is what I ordered. We had been craving a warm broth, and the soup was so refreshing and delicious ㅜㅜ There was plenty for two people, definitely not a skimpy portion! The presentation passed too—it had bok choy and daikon radish, making the broth so refreshing. I always order garlic skewers when I go to a yakitori place—when they're grilled really well, they have zero garlic smell and are fluffy like steamed potatoes, you know? These were grilled well. Everyone, you absolutely have to get this—it is seriously delicious, haha. A guy at the next table said, “Wow, this is insanely good,” and I wondered what could be so good; then I looked over and he was eating the exact same pudding, hahaha. That is how strongly I recommend it. I visited the newly opened Yomo izakaya, and it was nice!
