## How long is the wait? 8 teams, 30 minutes

We wrote our name on the waitlist, ran an errand for about 30 minutes, and got in right when we came back haha. There were maybe 8 teams waiting ahead of us, but with quite a lot of tables inside and food coming out fast, turnover seems really good.

### An antique interior vibe

The place was packed so I couldn't get a shot of the whole interior haha. The antique decor gave it a classic, sophisticated atmosphere that stood out from other lamb skewer places.

## How to order and the 1+1 drink hours

Orders go through a kiosk, and meat dishes can only be ordered starting from a minimum of 2 servings. On weekdays before 6pm and after 10pm, all alcoholic drinks are 1+1, so don't miss that sweet deal.

Compared to other lamb skewer places, Yangbokjeom's skewers might look like fewer in number and a smaller portion, but when you actually weigh them, they're heavier — thicker and more filling to enjoy!!

For basic side dishes, we got pickled mustard greens (zhacai) and seasoned chili to cut the richness,

and every table has 3 kinds of powder sauce ready — cumin, chwallyo (Chinese spice blend), and curry powder. For me, mixing chwallyo with curry powder tasted the best.

## Charcoal and skewers come out fast

The best thing about Yangbokjeom Dongdaegu Station Branch is that everything gets ready fast lol. The staff must have it tough, but both the charcoal and the lamb skewers came out really quickly!

## 2 servings of wangkkochi, 16 skewers: size and how to grill

Here comes the ordered lamb skewers, 2 servings, 16 skewers total~~ The skewers were really bigger than other places, and there was a lot more raw meat too.

These are lamb skewers made from top-grade fresh lamb!! Grilling it too hard can make the meat tough, so cooking it to about 80-90% keeps it soft and delicious.

If you set the skewer into the gear-shaped groove, it spins around and cooks by itself haha.

Showing off the grilled skewers haha. No gamey smell at all, really soft and delicious. Dipping it in sauce is the icing on the cake — the meat is so thick you get a satisfying chew and rich juices all at once.

## The eggplant dish: crispy outside, tender inside, done right

Then came the eggplant dish — moist, soft eggplant wrapped in glutinous rice batter, full of eggplant juice. Be careful eating it right when it arrives, it's extremely hot,,,!!!!! This is the textbook definition of crispy outside, tender inside!!

The sauce is also made with starch, so it really feels like eating in China haha. Great!!

Even after we finished our skewers, the place was still packed and there was still a wait. It's truly a lamb skewer spot worth going for near Dongdaegu Station!! Good for a date, good for a family outing — I'd recommend Yangbokjeom Dongdaegu Station Branch, a lamb skewer favorite in Dongdaegu.
