There is also a Chwita-da e (traditional military band) parade planned in Dongseong-ro next week, so I think it will be a great experience for the kids and am planning to visit again. Before or after watching a parade or event with the kids, I found a menu that is just perfect for lunch or dinner. Upper-elementary-school kids now eat almost as much as adults and their tastes get pickier, but the kids loved this place right away because it felt so pleasant and clean. Its table-order system is well suited to current dining trends, so you can browse the menu and order comfortably from your seat without calling staff or waiting. Even during busy times such as Dongseong-ro lunch hours, it cut down on waiting and made for a quick, comfortable meal, which I really appreciated. The layout works for everything from solo diners and small gatherings to family meals like ours and larger groups. The signature bossam set meal lets you enjoy a satisfying meal for the very reasonable price of ₩10,900. The appetizing handmade side dishes change with the seasons and fill the table; it felt like eating a healthy home-cooked meal made with real care. Considering the hearty appetites of the upper-elementary-school kids, we added ₩2,000 and ordered the generous-meat set. For only ₩2,000 more, it came with such a plentiful serving of gabrisal suyuk (boiled pork jowl)! The moist, tender gabrisal suyuk had absolutely no unpleasant smell, and it became more savory and clean-tasting with every bite. The crispy potato pancake and seafood pancake available as sides are exceptionally nutty, and they pair perfectly with makgeolli (Korean rice wine)! The kids ate the crisp pancakes so well, almost like a snack. Thanks to the clean and orderly spread, we wrapped up a lovely family meal with the elementary-school siblings after quite a while.
