A great-value Jiwel City find — ramen plus katsu, three dishes, all for around 30,000 won!

I was out at Jiwel City with my kid and stopped by Myeonsikdang for dinner. With everything from ramen to katsu, soba, udon, and rice bowls on the menu, it was a good spot for adults and kids to visit together. On this visit we ordered three dishes, and the total came to just over 30,000 won, so we could try several things without worrying about the bill.

## Where do you park at Myeonsikdang Jiwel City?

When heading to Myeonsikdang Jiwel City, park at the LK Sangga lot rather than the Jiwel City lot. It's easy to find right next to Tous Les Jours. It can be a bit confusing the first time you visit.

With a meal, you can register your parking for up to 2 hours, so there was plenty of time during our meal. Since it's also close to Jiwel City and Hyundai Department Store, it's a convenient location if you're looking for a place to eat around here — an easy pick as a Jiwel City go-to spot.

Looking at the menu, there were way more options than I expected. Ramen options included tonkotsu ramen, spicy tonkotsu ramen, shoyu ramen, and mala tonkotsu ramen, plus soba, udon, and rice bowls. The katsu lineup was just as varied — pork loin katsu, cheese katsu, spicy katsu, and more.

That day I ordered three dishes: tonkotsu ramen for 8,400 won, handmade pork loin katsu for 10,500 won, and mozzarella cheese katsu for 12,500 won. Even with all three, the total came to only 31,400 won — a good price for a family to share several dishes.

## Handmade pork loin katsu, 10,500 won and crispy

First up is the handmade pork loin katsu. The outside was crispy and the meat inside was on the thick side. My kid loves katsu and dug right in this time too.

The shredded cabbage that came with it had plenty of sauce on top, and rice and soup were included too, so it was filling enough as a full meal.

You could dip the katsu in the sauce or pair it with the salt or wasabi that came alongside, so you could enjoy one dish in a few different ways.

## Mozzarella cheese katsu, 12,500 won and loaded with cheese

The dish that caught my eye first was honestly the mozzarella cheese katsu. When I cut it open, there was a really generous amount of cheese inside. With meat and cheese together, it had a completely different feel from a regular katsu. If you're a cheese fan, this one's worth choosing, and it was also great to share with my kid.

## Tonkotsu ramen, 8,400 won and perfect for cool weather

![A bowl of tonkotsu ramen at Myeonsikdang](https://img.superchart.com/images/myeonsikdang-jiwell-city-family-dinner/myeonsikdang-jiwell-city-family-dinner-20-1dz3o-966.webp)

![Ramen noodles lifted with chopsticks](https://img.superchart.com/images/myeonsikdang-jiwell-city-family-dinner/myeonsikdang-jiwell-city-family-dinner-22-1ts86-966.webp)

With mornings and evenings getting a little cooler these days, I wanted something warm and soupy, so we also ordered the tonkotsu ramen. It came topped with meat, bean sprouts, egg, seaweed, and scallions. The broth felt rich, and best of all, the noodles had a nice chewy bite. Warm broth and noodles together made this a great fit for the current weather.

If ordering just katsu feels like something's missing, adding a ramen to share isn't a bad idea at all.

## Write a receipt review, get a free canned drink

Myeonsikdang was also running a receipt review event. After your meal, if you leave a receipt review, you get a canned drink for free — so don't skip it if you visit. I'm the type who always checks for these kinds of events, and it was nice getting a drink on top of the meal.

## Can you take leftovers home from Myeonsikdang?

With three dishes ordered, the portions ended up being bigger than expected. We had some left over, so I asked the staff if we could get it packed up, and they said yes, no problem. Since it's fine to take leftovers home, you can order without worrying about ordering too much.

The inside of the restaurant isn't huge, more on the cozy side. Even while we were eating, customers kept coming in steadily.

## Why Myeonsikdang Jiwel City works for a family dinner with a kid

Since Hyundai Department Store Chungcheong is right nearby, it worked well to grab a meal with my kid and then head to the department store afterward. Eating out with a kid usually means juggling what the adult wants versus what the kid will eat, and Myeonsikdang made that easy with its range of katsu, ramen, udon, and rice bowl options.

With three dishes, the total came to just over 30,000 won, and my kid ate the pork loin katsu happily, so our family left satisfied. If you're looking for a Jiwel City go-to spot or an easy, low-pressure meal with your kid near Hyundai Department Store Chungcheong, Myeonsikdang is worth a visit.
