Now that autumn has turned pleasantly cool, it’s perfect weather for an outing with the kids, isn’t it? 🍂 We visited Pino Cafe Cheonan, where you can enjoy autumn without going far from Cheonan. We looked around everything from the yellow cosmos and broad lawn to the outdoor areas and the newly opened annex. On this autumn outing to a Cheonan brunch café, we enjoyed flower viewing, a meal, and outdoor play all in one place.

It is at 99-23 Hyuyangnim-gil, Pungse-myeon, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, and is open from 10:00 to 20:30. You can use the café’s parking lots 1, 2, and 3; if they are full, search for the Taejosan management office and use its public parking lot.

Because it is near Taejosan Natural Recreation Forest, the first thing you see upon entering is a natural landscape where mountains and trees come together. The new annex added more parking, and with the public lot available too, parking felt less burdensome. A cat greeted us at the entrance, so the kids were fascinated for quite a while again. 🐈

If you visit in autumn, the yellow cosmos is what catches your eye first.

The yellow cosmos was in full bloom, making it wonderful to take photos of the kids against the yellow flower field. The red windmill and yellow flowers together especially felt like a scene straight from a fairy tale. The kids naturally spent time looking around the flowers and taking pictures. We didn’t need to travel far to really soak up the autumn mood with the kids at Pino Cafe Cheonan. 🍂

The grassy area was so spacious that it was great for the kids to run around, and we even flew a toy airplane we had brought from home. We spent quite a while playing tag and games like Mugunghwa Flower Has Bloomed.

We happened to spot grasshoppers too—three of them that day alone! 🦗 They may be hiding around the lawn, so it could be fun to look for them slowly with the kids. There is also a slide and a campfire area, making it a nice place to spend time with children.

### Outdoor spaces in nature

Perhaps thanks to Taejosan, there are little areas with flowing water here and there. The kids touched the water and threw stones for quite a while, haha. In summer, this is where a daisy field is in full bloom, but since it was autumn, we could not see the flowers. Below the lawn is a shallow stream, nice for a quick look at the water.

Step out of the main building and you immediately come upon this cute, storybook-like space. There is a fountain and a little yellow house, making it great for taking photos of and playing with the kids. Camping tents are set up on the lawn, and they looked like a nice way to have a more relaxed, private time with the kids inside. There is an outdoor restroom too, for your reference.

## Pino Cafe Cheonan’s newly opened annex

This time, we used the newly opened annex. Its white-and-wood interior and full-height windows made it feel wonderfully open, and there was plenty of seating for an unhurried visit. We went on Friday evening, and it was not crowded, so we could enjoy our meal at ease.

The chairs were comfortable and the space was wide, so it was nice for a long stay. There was enough room even with a stroller, which made it convenient with the kids. 😊 The annex has a restroom too, and above all, a separate outdoor hand-washing area, which was so convenient with children. I think households raising kids will especially relate to this. 😊

There is also a microwave, self-service packing station, purified water, water cups, and napkins. The tableware and tray return station are in the main building, so keep that in mind when using the café.

The café is divided into a main building and an annex. The main building has window seats, four-person tables, and terrace seating, and its spacious layout made for a relaxed visit.

There are several outdoor seats around the exterior of the café, the lawn, and the yellow cosmos, so on a nice day it would be lovely to enjoy coffee outside.

My favorite dish was the whole pork belly steak! It was full of smoky flavor, almost like having a barbecue party, and the meat was tender and even better dipped in the sauce. It was tastier than I expected, so it took the number-one spot in my heart. 🤎

The kimchi pilaf was pleasantly spicy and suited adult tastes well. We asked for the truffle cream pasta without spice, and I loved its rich, nutty cream flavor. The kids said it was like soup and happily ate even the pasta sauce.

All three dishes were delicious and quite generous in portion, making for a filling dinner. Maybe because they had run around the lawn to their hearts’ content, the kids were hungry and ate so well. 😊

The quince trees and cockscomb flowers around the café were also well tended, making it fun to look around at nature. The kids promised we would come back when the quinces ripen. 🌿 Since it is a place where you can see different scenery each season, I would like to visit again in another season. Tonight, I’ll look through the photos one by one and go to sleep remembering how excited the kids were as they ran around that day. 🤍
