On the day I went to Cheonan with my mom and sister, we stopped by Siyudang, a Cheonan brunch café, for a simple brunch. I heard there's a windmill photo zone on the rooftop, and I figured my mom would love it, so we came to check it out. ## Where is Siyudang in Cheonan, and what are its hours? Siyudang, a Cheonan brunch café, sits right next to Taehaksan Natural Recreation Forest. It's open daily from 10:00 to 20:00. The brunch menu covers sandwiches, steak, pasta, risotto, and pizza. All the sauces on the menu are made in-house, and even the pizza dough is hand-kneaded fresh with spinach, apparently. Every seat has a view of the courtyard, which is really nice 🌲 It has a cozy, comfortable wood-and-white atmosphere. The space is spacious with plenty of seats, so it works fine for families or group gatherings too. Baby chairs are available as well! The seat I'd actually recommend is on the 3rd floor..!! The higher up you go, the better the surrounding scenery looks, haha. Since it's surrounded by mountains, you can really feel how clean the air is ⛰️ It takes a bit of a drive from downtown, but I felt it's well worth the trip if you want to enjoy some peace in nature. There's a service table on every floor, so it was convenient not having to go back and forth. ## Don't skip Siyudang's rooftop windmill photo spot The highlight of Siyudang, this Cheonan brunch café, is definitely the rooftop photo zone. Honestly, I debated whether to bother climbing all the way to the 4th floor, but what would I have done if I'd skipped it! It's decorated to look like something out of a fairy tale, exotic and pretty. The ingredients went really well together, and everything was fresh, making it perfect for brunch. The bread was a crunchy grain bread that was savory and got sweeter the more you chewed, which was a nice touch. ### Bisque shrimp oil pasta at Siyudang Since it's called an oil pasta, I expected something like aglio e olio, but the bisque sauce had a much stronger presence than that. The shellfish flavor was rich and the sauce was thick enough to feel creamy, with insane umami. There was a slight kick of spice from the cheongyang-gochu-style peppers that made it even better! Best bisque sauce I've had. ### Porcini truffle cream risotto at Siyudang 🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀 Forget the Blue Ribbon award, I'm giving this my own Hami Ribbon. You must order this!!!!! It doesn't taste like a store-bought cream base at all — it's a rich sauce with a deep mushroom aroma... And the rice was cooked to perfect doneness too. > There's a pasta version too, but make sure you order one of the porcini truffle cream dishes. I'm begging you 🙏🏻 ## Why Siyudang is worth the trip to Pungse, Cheonan Honestly, I figured it would just be a place known for its view and didn't expect much from the food, but I was a little shocked once I tasted it. Siyudang, this Cheonan brunch café, has both the taste and the atmosphere down!! There's a walking trail on Taehaksan right out front, so it's nice to take a light walk after eating. The scenery is great and there's a photo zone too, so I saw a lot of people visiting with kids.
