This is my review of lunch at Deojinji, a restaurant near Forest Resom in Jecheon, after a round at Jecheon Kings Rock CC at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9.

## Location and parking at Deojinji Sutbul Galbi, Resom Baegun Branch

This is Deojinji Sutbul Galbi, Resom Baegun Branch (더진지숯불갈비 리솜백운점), at 585 Bukbu-ro, Baegun-myeon, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do. Hours are 10:30 a.m.–9 p.m., with a break from 3–4 p.m. The parking lot was spacious, so parking was easy.

As a restaurant near Jecheon Resom Forest, Deojinji also offers pickup from Resom Forest. A car is always waiting.

Resom Forest is about 10 minutes from Deojinji, and Kings Rock CC is about 15 minutes away. Since the restaurant is beside the road, it was easy to find.

## Ordering pork galbi and tteokgalbi sets

Here is Deojinji's menu. We ordered the charcoal-grilled pork galbi set and the tteokgalbi set. I liked that we could order one serving of each. The charcoal-grilled pork galbi set is ₩22,000, and the Damyang-style charcoal-grilled Korean pork tteokgalbi set is ₩24,000.

The moment I saw the table at Deojinji, I remembered my mother covering the dining table with a tablecloth long ago. I also remembered saying, “Grandma, please have your meal~”

I liked the ceramic tableware. This is Deojinji's basic table setting. The food was neatly arranged in clean ceramic bowls to begin with.

## Basic side dishes with marinated crab and cheonggukjang

Both spicy marinated crab and soy-marinated crab came with the meal. The soy-marinated crab was not salty and was nicely seasoned. The spicy marinated crab is a little hot.

The spicy marinated crab was meaty, and when I bit into it, it tasted fresh. I enjoyed it. You can order more, too.

Salad^^

It looked like doenjang jjigae, but when I tried it, it was cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew). It is so good with rice. It does not smell very strong, either. I mixed rice into it like this.

## Damyang-style grilled pork galbi and tteokgalbi

The main dishes arrived. The Damyang-style pork galbi and tteokgalbi came already grilled. There were three pieces of tteokgalbi, and the grilled onions underneath paired very well with the galbi.

It was a generous and neatly presented full meal.

I made a wrap with grilled onion and galbi. The onions were sweet rather than sharp. The tteokgalbi was full of juices.

It was delicious with the onion salad, and also dipped in the house special sauce. The millet rice was tasty, too.

The watery kimchi was lightly seasoned and tasty, so I got a refill. The young napa cabbage was crisp. There is a clean self-service bar where you can take additional side dishes.

## Facilities for dining with children

Deojinji is a nice place to eat with children. Tableware for children is available. I think children would eat well with the spoons and forks.

Disposable aprons are available beside the children's tableware next to the self-service bar. There are high chairs, too. I liked all the consideration for children.

Deojinji serves its meat already grilled. There are Damyang-style charcoal-grilled tteokgalbi and charcoal-grilled pork galbi. You can also watch the meat being grilled over charcoal on a wire rack. The subtle charcoal aroma makes it even tastier. Since the meat comes grilled, you can eat comfortably.

## Spacious interior and after-meal treats

This is the interior of Deojinji. It is spacious, so it would be good for family gatherings or group meals. The restroom was clean, too. Such a thoughtful owner, even providing mouthwash^^

You can enjoy these after your meal to your heart's content. I saw older guests taking some after eating. If you write a receipt review, you get one bag of snacks. You can choose one bag of your favorite snack. This is the snack I took.

You can also have puffed corn for dessert. It was kept in a rice cooker. There are lots of after-meal treats and review events. You can write a review to receive a Pororo drink that children like, too.

There is a play space like this beside the restaurant for children. It seems like a nice place for them to play briefly after eating.

## What I liked for a family meal after a round

- The meat comes already grilled.
- You can order single servings.
- It is nice for dining with children, with children's tableware available.
- The ingredients are fresh.
- The staff respond quickly and kindly.

Deojinji, where we had lunch after our Kings Rock CC round, was a good Korean restaurant in Jecheon. It is near Resom Forest and offers pickup service, so it seems convenient for families to dine there. I especially recommend it as a place to eat with children. They even provide children's tableware.

While we were eating, I noticed many families dining there. Like us, if you need protein after a round at Jecheon Kings Rock CC, I recommend Deojinji's tteokgalbi.
