On a Sunday 5pm reservation for three, the writer and her parents ordered two servings of whole fresh pork belly (15,000 won each), one whole pork neck and hwang doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) at 6,000 won, with staff grilling the meat to about 80 percent before setting it on a mini brazier at the table. It's open daily from 16:30 to 23:00, with last order at 21:30. - ✔️Open daily 16:30-23:00 (last order 21:30) - ✔️Parking lot behind the restaurant, alley parking (nearby parking tower) - ✔️Naver Reservations available I remember walking through Yullyang-dong before and thinking, ooh, what's this cool-looking place? Turns out it was the entrance to Anmin! The pig illustration is so cute🐷, and the fact that you can't see in from outside gives it a nice private feel. There's a table-management kiosk at the entrance. We had booked 5pm on a Sunday, and by 7pm the place had filled up and there was already a wait! If it's like this on a Sunday, Fridays and Saturdays must be packed. As soon as we walked in, my parents were like, wow, a place like this exists? So pretty~! The lighting and interior were really well done, and the overall vibe was lovely. There are 7 tables seating about 4-6 people, plus a room in the back that can hold up to 10! Looking at the other guests coming in, most of them seemed to have reservations. You know how annoying it is when the table's so small that ordering something like naengmyeon means asking staff to clear this and that just to make space? Here it was so spacious there was no need for that at all. My parents said the meat quality looked great and were really pleased. Dipping it in myeoljeot sauce (fermented anchovy sauce) with shiitake wasabi or curry bean powder on top was also great. But what really surprised me was the cheese fondue sauce...!!!!! They give you cheese sauce with breadcrumbs, and it was delicious even just scooped up on its own. My mom and dad were so satisfied, which made me proud too, haha. ## Who Anmin Yullyang in Cheongju suits best You could really feel how much the owner cared about making the meal comfortable. The side dishes were good, the meat was good, and I was really happy with the hwang crab doenjang jjigae too. It's also great for family gatherings. The interior and atmosphere were both so nice that I'm planning to come back soon for a date! Plus with free corkage, it's a great spot to bring a good bottle for a special occasion.
