For lunch, we visited TPM hbc, a place that makes special pizzas with seasonal ingredients. I recommend not bringing a car. - A drink or alcoholic beverage is required, and dogs are welcome. - There may be a wait on weekend evenings, and Naver reservations are available. There are seasonal pizzas made with seasonal ingredients as well as pizzas reinterpreted in TPM hbc’s own way. The ingredients’ flavors came through without sitting heavily in my stomach, and even though it was wood-fired pizza, the dough itself was delicious. There were all sorts of seats, from group tables flooded with sunlight to tables for two. There were dishes that would be great with wine, too, along with a varied wine list. It really nailed both flavor and atmosphere. Since we were meeting in Yongsan for my boyfriend’s birthday and had decided to have lunch nearby first, the weather was lovely, so we made it a Haebangchon date! The gently bright mood and streams of sunlight suited the interior so well that I felt happy the whole time. It was even smoother and tastier with olive oil!!! I normally don’t eat gat kimchi (mustard-leaf kimchi) because of its funky flavor, but these gat pickles were simply crisp and refreshing—more my style than cucumber pickles—so I kept reaching for them!!!! ## Final thoughts from our birthday lunch I loved the interior filled with warm sunlight so much. It was quiet, comfortable, and full of atmosphere, so bringing my boyfriend here for his birthday felt totally worthwhile. The staff’s kind explanations and TPM hbc’s special menu made us even happier too, hehe.
