Grilled fish is one of my go-to dishes, especially when I'm craving clean, well-put-together Korean food. So this time I headed to Min Cook Apbadang Seongsa in Seongsa-dong for some delicious grilled fish.

## What time does the queue start at Min Cook Apbadang Seongsa?

Min Cook Apbadang Seongsa is famous in Seongsa-dong for its seasonal grilled fish, and it's especially known as a great place to eat with your parents, so I went in with high expectations.

I visited around 11am on a weekday, and even at that early hour, there were already quite a few customers eating. By around 11:40am, a waiting line had started to form. If you're planning to visit, it might be a good idea to go a little earlier — lunchtime can get busy, so keep that in mind! 😊

The grilled fish I ordered finally arrived! One of the things I worry about most when eating fish is the fishy smell, but however Min Cook Apbadang Seongsa prepares theirs, I barely noticed any.

The clean, distinct flavor of the fish stayed intact while a subtle savoriness came through, so I ate it with real enjoyment. Grilled fish can carry an image of being a humble, home-cooked dish, but here it felt a bit more upscale, both in taste and presentation. If you like the clean flavor of fish, I think you'd be satisfied. Personally, the lack of fishy smell was what I liked most. 🥰

## How the electric grill and metal plate keep the fish warm

One thing I especially liked about Min Cook Apbadang Seongsa was how they made sure to serve the grilled fish warm. Once the fish comes out, they place it on a metal plate set over an electric grill.

Thanks to that, the fish didn't cool down easily during the meal, and I got to enjoy it warm right up to the very last bite. Grilled fish tastes so much better warm! I appreciated the attention to detail in keeping it warm from start to finish — it made the whole meal more satisfying.

At Min Cook Apbadang Seongsa, if you run out of the banchan (side dishes) served with your meal, you can freely refill at the self-serve bar. I liked being able to help myself to whichever banchan I wanted, as much as I wanted — a convenient system for anyone who likes plenty of side dishes.
