Hello, this is the human aquarium^^ Reason: I went and ate raw fish again. At this rate I'll probably be reborn as a fish next life as karma. But sashimi and sushi are just too good, what am I supposed to do!!!!!!! This time it's also close to Seokchon Lake, so it's a great sushi spot in Bangi-dong to stop by after a stroll — Susi Seon Bangi Branch!

Inside Susi Seon Bangi Branch there are counter seats great for solo dining or dates, and table seats good for groups of three or more. The place isn't big but it had a cozy, warm atmosphere.

With little props here and there and cherry blossom artwork on the walls, the Japanese atmosphere really comes alive at this Bangi-dong sushi spot, Susi Seon Bangi Branch >.<

## What's on the menu at Susi Seon Bangi Branch

There were three sushi sets, plus the option to add individual pieces. Being a proper Jamsil sushi and Japanese restaurant, they also serve udon, memil (buckwheat noodles), and even donkatsu (pork cutlet)! And true to a Jamsil sushi specialty spot, they had sake too.

## The 10-piece special sushi set and free soba, tasted

What I ordered was the Susi Seon Bangi Branch special sushi. Flounder 2pcs, salmon 2pcs, tuna 2pcs, king sweet shrimp, eel, soy-marinated shrimp, and sea urchin — 10 pieces total, with udon or soba included free.

Warm porridge and jjolmyeon (chewy noodles) came along too. Can't skip the pickled radish and pickled ginger to go with the sushi!

As a human aquarium, the two things I think matter most in sushi: ① the amount of rice, ② the freshness of the fish. Unlike regular sashimi, sushi is meant to be eaten together with rice, so the balance between fish and rice really matters. Too much rice buries the fish; too little rice and you might as well just eat sashimi instead of sushi.

Just look at this perfect ratio in Susi Seon Bangi Branch's sushi.......... Leonardo da Vinci reincarnated. Sure enough, a Bangi-dong sushi spot that's been running for over 10 years is different!

The fish itself was really fresh too — not dry, no fishy smell, and you could tell from the first bite that they use good, fresh fish >.<

This sea urchin was seriously insane!!! The sweet uni went so well with the savory seaweed that I could've eaten it endlessly. I wasn't expecting much but it was genuinely delicious.. and then the soba, hahahaha. The richest soba I've had so far. Honestly I thought soba was all pretty much the same, but the moment I tasted it I was like huh?? and just kept slurping up the broth.

## À la carte add-ons: sea urchin, eel, tako wasabi and flying fish roe maki

Since Susi Seon Bangi Branch lets you add individual pieces, I ordered 2 more sea urchin, 1 eel, and 1 salmon — the ones I liked best. True to a person obsessed with sushi, I ordered even more.

And since I'd already tried a variety of sushi and figured the rest would be good too, I ordered 1 tako (octopus), 1 scallop, 1 egg, and 1 flying fish roe maki......^^ At this point can I officially be called a human aquarium?

The tako wasabi was really good too — the sharp kick of the wasabi and the chewy texture of the octopus came through nicely...>.< The maki was also great; the salty punch of the flying fish roe seemed like nothing much but was genuinely delicious. I thought they were only good at sushi, but they're a maki spot too...

Susi Seon Bangi Branch is a sushi and Japanese restaurant that has held the same spot in the Bangi-dong food alley for 13 years. You could tell they haven't been running a business in Bangi-dong food alley for that long for no reason.. 💖💖💖💖

There seemed to be longtime regulars too — the staff even asked, want the same thing as today again? hahahahaha. The owner was also super friendly, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Thanks to that, this person with a stomach like an aquarium was happy!!!!!!!>_< Recommended for anyone looking for a good sushi spot in Bangi-dong!!!
