The name itself suggests they are particular about things, and as I walked in, one phrase immediately caught my eye.

What especially stood out was the huge screen! 📺⚾ Visit on a game day during baseball season, and it would be perfect to tear into jokbal while watching a game.

The dish I ordered was Kkankkan Jjokbal's signature 🔥 charcoal-grilled jokbal, ₩42,000. I love jokbal itself, but the key here is that it is infused with a charcoal aroma, unlike regular jokbal. The moment it arrived, the glossy appearance alone looked absolutely right. 🤤✨

Before the jokbal came out, the side dishes began arriving one by one, and the spread was quite neat. 🥢

The aroma was not so strong that it covered the natural flavor of the jokbal; it blended naturally with the savory meat as I chewed, so I kept reaching for more. 😋 It was delicious on its own, but you cannot skip the wraps. 🌿

I put a piece of jokbal on a fragrant perilla leaf and made a big wrap, then tried one with lettuce, jokbal, and side dishes! 🥬🍖 It was the same jokbal, but each wrap tasted a little different depending on how I made it, which made trying all the accompaniments fun.

Kkankkan Jjokbal Suwan Branch had a wonderfully chewy texture and an appealing, subtly infused charcoal aroma. 🍖🔥 It went beautifully in perilla-leaf or lettuce wraps, and with soft tofu stew and steamed egg alongside, it made for a generous full spread. 😊 The mini spicy bossam from the receipt review event was lightly spicy and savory too, making it a good in-between bite. 🌶️👍 Afterward, ice cream and Starbucks bean coffee meant I could finish sweetly and neatly without looking for a separate café. 🍦☕ It is a place I would think of again when I want jokbal and a shot of soju in Suwan district. 🍶✨
