We put our name down too, and the wait ended up longer than expected — we didn't actually start eating until around 2:30pm. One thing that quietly won me over while looking for kid-friendly spots in Gwangalli — every table had coloring paper and crayons set out for kids to use while they wait. It was nice that our kid could color instead of getting bored waiting for the food. Our own toddler colored away the whole time, and these small touches really do help when you're eating out with a child. The shredded fried potato strings especially added a fun crunch when you bite in. The staff told us the potato pizza tastes even better if you eat it by hand, since you get the shredded fries along with each bite — and trying it that way, I got exactly what they meant. I'm a fan of truffle aroma, so I really liked that touch too. The clean flavor of the potato, the saltiness of the bacon, and the truffle scent together made it taste much richer than I expected. Pepperoni pizza can sometimes feel a bit greasy from all the saltiness, but this one felt lighter than expected, probably thanks to the pickled peppers scattered throughout. It had that sweet-with-a-touch-of-spicy flavor, and switching back and forth with the potato pizza made a great combo. I was glad we went with half-and-half on those two. When you're eating with a 35-month-old, whether they can share the adult menu matters a lot. This time, not only did she eat the pasta noodles fine, but she really went for the meat inside. There was plenty of meat in there, which made it easy to scoop out a little at a time for her. The noodles were wide and long, which gave a nice texture with the sauce, and the portion overall was quite generous. Since we were also eating pizza, we left a bit of the pasta. Still, I felt like we picked a great dish to share with a kid. ### Adding Extra Mile's house salad to the meal Lastly, we ordered the house salad too. Eating just pizza and pasta back to back can feel a bit heavy, so having the salad to mix in was a nice touch. The salad itself was tastier than I expected, and I ate quite a bit of it. We ordered a lot that day, from pizza to pasta to salad, and overall it was satisfying. Since our kid ate the white ragu pasta so well, I'll probably order it again next time we come back. ## Lunch in Gwangalli with a toddler: would we go back to Extra Mile? Next time I visit, I'd like to try some of the other pizzas I haven't gotten to yet. It was delicious last time, and this time we ordered a bunch of different things and tried them all — we finished the pizza completely and only left a little of the pasta, which tells you how satisfying the meal was.
