Whenever I travel to Gangneung or Jumunjin, I end up stopping by the fish market at least once. This time in Jumunjin, I was trying to figure out an easy dinner to eat back at my lodging, so I decided to get sashimi takeout from one of the Jumunjin sashimi restaurants. There are so many sashimi restaurants inside the market that I wasn't sure which one to pick, but I ended up stopping at Ilchul Hoetjip in Jumunjin Fish Market and got halibut (gwangeo) and rockfish (wooruk) to go. It's open daily from 10 AM to 9 PM~ If you're driving, it's convenient to use the Jumunjin Coastal Parking Tower across from the fish market. They give you a 1-hour parking voucher when you buy from Ilchul Hoetjip, so it works out well if you're just popping in for takeout. I actually parked on the roadside haha, turns out that's fine too. It wasn't hard to find once I came in through the market entrance. Some people were eating sashimi right there in the market, and there were a steady number of people like me packing it up to eat back at their lodging.
