Worried I'd miss dinner, I quickly searched for restaurants near Hapjeong Station. Most places felt awkward for eating alone, which was a bit frustrating — but oh! A solo shabu-shabu place?! It wasn't too far from Hapjeong Station, so I went without much expectation. But Nahonsha's storefront was visible from far away. Wait, what is this place? It felt like stepping into a forest garden! Nahonsha's menu is really solid! Miso shabu-shabu... mala shabu-shabu... oh! I wavered a bit toward the mala option but ended up going with clear broth shabu-shabu 🖐 The broth is made with kelp, bonito flakes, and chicken stock — clean and light. I ordered this because it's the base menu item, and it was genuinely mild and satisfying! There was even a phone stand set up, so I watched YouTube while eating dinner :) After finishing all the vegetables and meat, I added the kalguksu noodles at the end. The noodles were thin, so they cooked fast. This too was delicious, nom nom.
