Hey everyone, it's Gyeom! My family loves dishes made with fish, and lately I was really craving something properly Korean, so I searched around our neighborhood. That's how I found this braised pollock spot near Bongcheon Station! It's known for being delicious and generous with portions, plus — a big plus for me — it has parking. So I took my parents there for dinner right away. If you're looking for a filling, tasty lunch or dinner spot nearby, check this place out!

Sangdo Neulbori, the braised pollock spot near Bongcheon Station, sits close to the subway, making it easy to swing by for dinner after work! And since there's parking right next to the restaurant, it was an even more comfortable visit.

## What the restaurant feels like and who eats here

The place has a familiar, warm feel — the kind of restaurant where you can eat comfortably. Maybe that's why there were a lot of families when I visited, and I could hear delivery orders coming in nonstop! I arrived before the dinner rush and got settled in comfortably, but once it hit after-work hours, plenty more customers came in and took their seats.

## The self-serve bibimbap and sungnyung corner

I liked the relaxed vibe of the restaurant, and the easy parking was great too — but there's one more thing I loved. The self-serve bibimbap corner! On top of the main dish, you can make your own bibimbap, which makes the meal even more filling. The ingredients are so good that even with just the three toppings provided, it tastes great.

And on one side of the self-serve bar, there's warm, nutty sungnyung (scorched rice tea) ready for a clean dessert finish — that's really reassuring. It cleanses your palate nicely and leaves you thoroughly full! That signature Korean-restaurant abundance really shows in the self-serve bar.

## Menu prices and the lunch specials

Here's the menu board at Sangdo Neulbori, the braised pollock spot near Bongcheon Station! Since I came craving fish dishes, the main menu item here is braised pollock (kodari-jorim). But it's also known for octopus (jjukkumi), along with Korean-style rice dishes like bibimbap and various side dishes you can order too!

## Side dishes: fish seaweed soup and steamed egg

A proper Korean restaurant always starts strong with the side dishes. Especially the seaweed soup — since it's made with fish instead of meat, it had an even cleaner, nuttier appeal!

On top of that, the basic side dishes included a bubbling hot steamed egg, which made things even better! It was soft and fluffy, perfect as an appetizer, and it was hot enough that I had to blow on it — comforting for an empty stomach.

## Siraegi kodari-jorim for three, 43,000 won

I ordered the main dish, siraegi kodari-jorim (braised pollock with dried radish greens, ₩43,000 for three). The portion was so massive the moment it was served that I was genuinely surprised — especially the siraegi, which was insane. I love siraegi, and instead of just a little bit, it was piled up like a mountain — so satisfying!

![Close-up of tender siraegi and pollock flesh](https://img.superchart.com/images/bongcheon-sangdo-neulbori-kodari-family-dinner/bongcheon-sangdo-neulbori-kodari-family-dinner-14-gc4gg-900.webp)

![Cross-section of kodari-jorim coated in red sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/bongcheon-sangdo-neulbori-kodari-family-dinner/bongcheon-sangdo-neulbori-kodari-family-dinner-15-brkpb-900.webp)

On top of that, the siraegi wasn't tough — it was soft and high quality, and it paired really well with the pollock! The pollock itself wasn't overly firm or mushy either, hitting that proper texture just right. I loved the quality of the ingredients overall, and in the middle of it all, the red sauce was the real kick point!

### How spicy is the sauce, and how to eat the kodari

It's delicious and spicy enough that even someone with a low spice tolerance can handle it, plus a touch of sweetness adding savory depth — the kind of sauce Koreans love. It's the type of rice-thief dish you can't help but mix into your rice! On top of that, if you add dried seaweed and bean sprouts and wrap it up, it's even more delicious!

![Pot with leftover sauce-soaked radish and potato](https://img.superchart.com/images/bongcheon-sangdo-neulbori-kodari-family-dinner/bongcheon-sangdo-neulbori-kodari-family-dinner-18-4p58x-m-900.webp)

I'm usually more of a side-dish person and don't always finish a full bowl of rice, but the sauce was so good I cleared the whole bowl today! Also, the radish and potato were cooked through and well seasoned with the sauce, so I finished the entire main dish too!

## Is Sangdo Neulbori good for a family dinner?

Good accessibility, parking available, and a delicious, generous main dish — this place was just right for a hearty lunch or dinner. My family would even go back again, and we plan to return whenever we're craving fish or Korean food!
