## In short

Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch is a griddle-cooked jjukkumi (stir-fried baby octopus) restaurant on the 1st floor of AK Plaza at Gwangmyeong Station in Gyeonggi. On a third visit in the year and a half since moving to Gwangmyeong, the writer ordered the loaded black pork flower belly at spice level 1 (the mildest, about as hot as Shin Ramyeon) and finished with flying fish roe fried rice. Tables at Jeongipum Jjukkumi fill up by noon on weekends, so a Naver reservation is essential — an easy recommendation for a family meal out.

I've lived in Gwangmyeong for a year and a half now..! Every weekend my husband and I are busy hunting down good restaurants around Gwangmyeong. We eat out every weekend chasing real local favorites, and there's one place we've been to three times now haha

It's called Jeongipum Jjukkumi, on the 1st floor of AK Plaza by Gwangmyeong Station, and I still haven't found a jjukkumi (stir-fried baby octopus) place better than this one..! The staff and the owner are so kind, the service is great, and the jjukkumi is so good that I leave in a good mood every time haha

On weekends you need a reservation to get in without waiting at Jeongipum.. luckily Naver Reservation is available, so I fully recommend it for a family meal out!!

## Where is Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch, and what are its hours?

Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch is right by the lobby entrance of AK Plaza, on the 1st floor. It's also super close to Gwangmyeong Station, so it's well known as a Gwangmyeong Station restaurant..!

Hours are 11:30–22:00, break time is 16:00–17:00, and last order is at 15:00 and 21:00.

I've only been on weekends, and by noon on a weekend it's already full of customers. Thankfully there's Naver Reservation, so it's best to book even a same-day slot before heading over!

## AK Plaza parking: how to get up to 8 hours

Parking is shared with L7 Lotte Hotel, AK Plaza, and U Planet, so the lot is huge. Park in the basement lot and register it on your way out for up to 2 hours free.

We also stopped by AK Plaza in the same building, grabbed coffee, and got 1 more hour of parking added — spend over ₩20,000 and you get 2 more hours! Combined, you can get up to 8 hours total in a day.

## Finding the restaurant inside AK Plaza, and what the room feels like

There's a huge sign that says Jeongipum Jjukkumi, so it's easy to find haha. Don't wander around the basement parking lot — just take any elevator or escalator up to the 1st floor and look from outside, it's much faster!

The inside is spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows, giving it an open feel. We came with a reservation at noon on a Sunday, and the seats filled up so fast that I was glad we'd booked ahead..!

## Why we always order the loaded black pork flower belly

We went with the sari-deumbuk black pork flower belly! Every time we come, this is what we order.

After finishing everything, we also ordered the flying fish roe fried rice haha

If you scan the QR code and leave a receipt review, they give you minari plus flying fish roe fried rice! Definitely do this one haha

## What a Naver reservation gets you: the table already set

Since we had a reservation, everything was already set up when we arrived haha

![Table already set up for a reserved seat](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-station-jjukkumi-third-visit/gwangmyeong-station-jjukkumi-third-visit-12-i1ny2-900.webp)

There's a delicious cabbage salad, a white sauce mixed with mayonnaise, flying fish roe, and seaweed soup, plus

![Sesame leaves and dried gim for wraps](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-station-jjukkumi-third-visit/gwangmyeong-station-jjukkumi-third-visit-14-1wrwa-900.webp)

sesame leaves and dried gim (seaweed) for wraps, lemon-marinated radish, and bean sprouts to go with the jjukkumi.

One great thing about Jeongipum is the kiosk has buttons for staff calls, side dish refills, everything — so you don't have to go grab things from a self-serve bar yourself, which is convenient haha. FYI, when you wrap jjukkumi in gim you go through a lot of the gim, sesame leaves, lemon radish, white sauce, etc., and it was nice being able to refill without feeling self-conscious about it haha

![Two servings of sari-deumbuk black pork flower belly on the griddle](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-station-jjukkumi-third-visit/gwangmyeong-station-jjukkumi-third-visit-16-4aaui-900.webp)

Our order arrives! We chose the extra add-ins with the 2-serving black pork belly, and it came out really generous haha

My beloved minari is piled on generously too. Minari wilts down a lot as it cooks, so if you're a minari lover, definitely add extra!

And when you order jjukkumi, they give you a free egg custard!! This is exactly why I can't quit Jeongipum ㅠㅜㅠ The egg custard is so fluffy and just really delicious, seriously...

The add-ins include plump jjukkumi, black pork belly, minari, rice cake, and cabbage.

## How spicy is spice level 1 at Jeongipum Jjukkumi?

You can choose your spice level too, and we always go with level 1, shin ramyeon mild flavor!! Even at the shin ramyeon spice level, it's a nicely moderate spicy that tastes great.

The jjukkumi is so plump you have to cut it with scissors sometimes..! When the jjukkumi pieces are stingy and small, I never want to come back, but at Jeongipum the jjukkumi is nice and plump, which I really love haha

Sesame leaf + dried gim + jjukkumi + meat + lemon radish + bean sprouts + flying fish roe + white sauce combo is the best... My husband and I took one wrap-bite and both went 'this is it, this is it' in awe lol

Once you eat at Jeongipum, you really can't stop thinking about it, so we're bound to come back again soon.. Especially the sauce, flying fish roe, lemon radish, and gim you eat alongside the wraps — they really carry a lot of the flavor!

## Finishing with flying fish roe fried rice

And the portions are genuinely huge..! By the time you're full from eating, you're stuffed, but you still can't skip the fried rice... We ordered the flying fish roe fried rice, and a staff member comes over and stir-fries it for you!

![Flying fish roe fried rice stir-fried by staff](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-station-jjukkumi-third-visit/gwangmyeong-station-jjukkumi-third-visit-23-mtj9j-900.webp)

![Flying fish roe fried rice pressed flat on the griddle](https://img.superchart.com/images/gwangmyeong-station-jjukkumi-third-visit/gwangmyeong-station-jjukkumi-third-visit-24-18amh-900.webp)

Ahh... once you've eaten about 80% of the jjukkumi and order the fried rice, they chop it all up finely and stir-fry it together haha. The flying fish roe popping in your mouth — need I say more... This spicy jjukkumi sauce goes so well with the rice!

My husband usually always orders rice whenever we eat jjukkumi or pork belly, but this time he skipped it because he knew we'd get fried rice lol. The fried rice at Jeongipum Jjukkumi tastes even better wrapped in toasted dried gim haha. We're exactly the type of people who refill gim just to eat with the fried rice... lol

So full and so happy again today... Truly a happy moment living in Gwangmyeong ㅠ

## Final verdict on Jeongipum Jjukkumi Gwangmyeong 1st Branch

If you ask anyone around here for the best Gwangmyeong restaurant, Jeongipum Jjukkumi comes up as number one without fail!! Naver Reservation works, there's a review event, the staff are kind, and the jjukkumi is so plump and delicious that I can't help but strongly recommend it.

It'd be a bit awkward if it got too famous... but the owner is so kind that I honestly hope the place does even better haha. Great for a family meal out, and when you have no appetite, coming here for spicy jjukkumi brings it right back haha. Strongly recommend!
