## In short

India The Durbar Samseong Station Branch is an Indian and Nepali restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul, near Samseong Station. We tried SET B with boneless tandoori chicken, palak paneer, chicken makhani, naan, rice, and lassi, plus vegetable pakora for 10,000 won. Today, I’m introducing India The Durbar Samseong Station Branch, which I visited because I was craving proper Indian food near Samseong Station. I usually love Indian curry, but places where the spices are too intense can feel a little overwhelming. Here, though, the spices were not excessive overall, while the curries were smooth and creamy, so I had a seriously delicious meal. The set was especially generous, making this a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for great Indian food around Samseong Station.

## India The Durbar Samseong Station Branch: location and parking

India The Durbar Samseong Station Branch is about 600 m from Exit 4 of Samseong Station. Head toward NH NongHyup Bank from Exit 4, then go farther in around the building and you’ll find it.

- Address: B1, 15 Samseong-ro 84-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea (서울 강남구 삼성로84길 15 B1층)
- Hours: Daily 11:00–23:00
- Last order: 22:30
- By car, you can use the nearby Yeongdong-daero 85-gil Public Parking Lot
- One hour of parking support is provided for orders of ₩45,000 or more

## An exotic atmosphere without overwhelming spices

As soon as you enter, the distinctly Indian-style interior makes it feel as though you’ve briefly gone on a trip. Local chefs prepare authentic Indian and Nepali dishes here, but the spice aromas were much less overwhelming than expected, so I think even first-timers to Indian food could enjoy it comfortably.

The chefs and servers are all foreigners haha. But they speak Korean amazingly well lol. It had a great atmosphere for when you want something a little different from the same old meals around Samseong Station.

## SET B and a vegetable pakora ordering tip

We ordered India The Durbar SET B, which is available for groups of two or more. It comes all at once with green salad, boneless tandoori chicken, two curries, naan, rice, and lassi, so it was perfect for sampling a variety of Indian dishes.

![Set meal with salad and tandoori chicken](https://img.superchart.com/images/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar-03-sbyey-966.webp)

![SET B with lassi and rice](https://img.superchart.com/images/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar-05-tx0nr-966.webp)

For the curries, we chose palak paneer, made with spinach and cheese, and chicken makhani, a butter chicken curry. We also added vegetable pakora, an Indian-style vegetable fritter, for ₩10,000.

Helpful tip: if two people are visiting, SET B alone is already quite generous. The vegetable pakora was more plentiful than I expected, so if you’re adding sides too, I recommend ordering according to just how hungry you are.

## How SET B and vegetable pakora tasted

### Green salad

![Green salad with mango-style dressing](https://img.superchart.com/images/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar-06-ncatf-966.webp)

The green salad came first. The vegetables were fresh, and the dressing was quite memorable. It was subtly sweet and creamy, almost like a mango-based sauce, giving it a charm that was a little different from an ordinary salad.

### Boneless tandoori chicken

![Boneless tandoori chicken](https://img.superchart.com/images/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar-07-zk3f0-966.webp)

This was really delicious. It retained that distinctive tandoori aroma, but the spices were not too strong and the heat was easy to handle too.

Best of all, it was boneless and easy to eat, and the meat was so tender that I kept reaching for it. Even those who have hesitated over tandoori chicken because of Indian food’s bold aromas should be able to enjoy this one quite comfortably.

### Palak paneer

![Palak paneer with spinach and cheese](https://img.superchart.com/images/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar-09-1j7hf-966.webp)

This spinach curry had an eye-catching green color, but it was much smoother and creamier than I expected.

The gentle spinach flavor and nutty richness worked beautifully together, and it was so good with naan dipped right in. I’d recommend it if you like curries that are not overly intense.

### Chicken makhani

![Chicken makhani butter chicken curry](https://img.superchart.com/images/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar-11-s52qm-1200.webp)

Chicken makhani is always my number-one curry wherever I go, and it was truly delicious at India The Durbar too.

![Chicken makhani with creamy sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar-12-t7tyw-966.webp)

The rich, creamy sauce had that nutty butter flavor, and with tender chicken added in, I just kept reaching for it with naan. While the palak paneer was mild and nutty, chicken makhani was richer and more full-bodied, so ordering both together was a great combination.

![Chicken makhani and palak paneer pairing](https://img.superchart.com/images/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar-13-1s537-966.webp)

The naan was mild with a pleasantly chewy texture, making it perfect for piling on plenty of curry.

Unlike the sticky steamed rice we usually eat, the Indian-style rice felt so light it could almost blow away when you breathed on it. Eating it with curry really made me feel as though I was having a meal abroad.

### Vegetable pakora, ₩10,000

![Vegetable pakora made with chopped vegetables and onions](https://img.superchart.com/images/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar-15-1yfru-966.webp)

This is an Indian-style vegetable fritter made by finely chopping and frying fresh vegetables, onions, chilies, and more. After trying it, it even reminded me of an Indian version of donggeurangttaeng, Korean-style pan-fried meat-and-vegetable patties. It was golden and crisp outside, packed with finely chopped vegetables inside, and pleasantly mild. It was also nice to snack on between bites of curry. Still, for ₩10,000, the serving was more generous than expected, so keep that in mind if two people are ordering it alongside SET B.

![Lassi enjoyed after an Indian meal](https://img.superchart.com/images/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar/samseong-tandoori-creamy-curry-india-darbar-16-ikk3x-966.webp)

Finally, cooling down with lassi made it feel like I’d properly enjoyed a full Indian meal.

## Final thoughts on a memorable creamy curry pairing

At India The Durbar Samseong Station Branch, it wasn’t just one dish that was good—everything we ordered that day was very satisfying~!!! The creamy pairing of chicken makhani and palak paneer, along with the tender, mild boneless tandoori chicken, stood out most.

Because the spices are not too strong, it’s an easy place to try even if you’re not used to Indian food. I also loved that one SET B lets you sample everything from salad and curry to tandoori chicken, naan, rice, and lassi. Adding the vegetable pakora made it an especially generous meal, so the portion size was satisfying too.

If I’m craving Indian curry at Samseong Station next time, I definitely want to come back~!! If you’re looking for Indian food near Samseong Station where you can enjoy creamy curry and tender tandoori chicken together, I can confidently recommend India The Durbar Samseong Station Branch.
