## In short

Jinjin China Geumcheon Siheung Branch is a Chinese restaurant near Seoksu Station in Geumcheon, Seoul. I had samsun ganjajang, samsun jjamppong, and tangsuyuk with my child for weekend lunch; the ttukbaegi-served noodles and soybean-powder dip stood out, while level 1 jjamppong was manageable for me.

I had an errand in Geumcheon-gu over the weekend and stopped by Jinjin China Geumcheon Siheung Branch (진진차이나 금천시흥점) with my child. My child had said the day before that they wanted jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk, so we ordered samsun ganjajang, samsun jjamppong, and tangsuyuk together.

## Where is it near Seoksu Station, and is parking available?

The restaurant is on the first floor at 106-1 Siheung-daero, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, near Seoksu Station on Line 1. There was room for a few cars directly in front of the building. If the front area is full, a nearby public parking lot can be used, so parking felt convenient.

The hours listed in the visit post were 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with last orders at 8:00 PM; it is closed on Wednesdays. High chairs and a waiting area were available, and the post said group visits, takeout, and reservations were also possible.

## What were the weekend lunch atmosphere and ordering process like?

When we visited around 1 PM on the weekend, most seats were occupied. Still, I liked that our food came out quickly.

It was convenient to scan the QR code on the table, choose the menu, and pay right away. We ordered two noodle dishes, tangsuyuk, and a bowl of steamed rice for my child.

- Samsun jjamppong: ₩13,000
- Samsun ganjajang: ₩12,000
- Tangsuyuk: ₩23,000
- Steamed rice: ₩1,000

## How was the samsun ganjajang served in a ttukbaegi?

The samsun ganjajang arrived first. It was my first time seeing jajangmyeon served in a ttukbaegi (earthenware pot), so it stayed with me.

It was topped with a fried egg. I find that a fried egg changes the taste of jajangmyeon quite a bit, so I was glad to see it.

My child, who had wanted jajangmyeon, ate it well too.

There was plenty of seafood inside. The chewy noodles and springy squid gave it varied textures.

There was plenty of black bean sauce too, so after serving rice to my child, I mixed the remaining steamed rice into it. It was good to have with rice after the noodles.

## How spicy was level 1 samsun jjamppong?

I saw samsun jjamppong on many other tables too. Since the spice level could be adjusted, we ordered level 1, described as about as spicy as Shin Ramyun. We tend to find anything hotter than that difficult to eat.

The jjamppong included plenty of seafood, including one whole small octopus. When I stirred it, a smoky wok aroma came up.

When I tried the broth first, it was a level of heat I could enjoy without feeling overwhelmed. I could taste the smoky wok aroma in the broth as well.

There was also something fun about eating the whole octopus. At level 1, I could taste the ingredients and broth more clearly than the heat. It made me think I would like to try level 0 next time.

## What texture does tangsuyuk dipped in soybean powder have?

The tangsuyuk arrived last. Unlike the kind I usually eat, its exterior felt coated in a crisp, cracker-like crust.

![Jinjin China tangsuyuk with a crisp fried exterior](https://img.superchart.com/images/jinjinchina-geumcheon-siheung-jjamppong/jinjinchina-geumcheon-siheung-jjamppong-17-qchwq-966.webp)

The pieces were thick and fairly round, and each bite was filled with meat.

The meat was tender, so it was easy for my child to eat too. When I ate it, I did not notice any unpleasant meat smell.

What was unusual was dipping it in soybean powder. It was a combination I had not considered, but when I tried it, it worked well together.

What stayed with me from this meal were the ttukbaegi ganjajang, smoky jjamppong, and thick tangsuyuk with soybean powder. My child also ate the jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk well, and we had a filling lunch together.
