The lunch menu is great value, the meat is delicious, and the place is clean — it's one of the first spots that comes to mind when we're deciding on a family meal. ## Where is Neul Gogi Jip Icheon Main Branch, and what are its hours? We went during weekend lunch and the hall tables were packed — buzzing with people. Luckily there was no wait; we only stood by briefly while a table was cleared before being seated right away. Every time I visit, I notice the self-serve bar is kept spotless. Lunch specials are often unavailable on weekends at many places, but Neul Gogi Jip has no such restriction — which I love. Great value too! I've tried everything from the lunch specials to the grilled dishes, and I think Neul Gogi Jip is a place where the satisfaction is even higher when you get the grilled meat. If you go with pork, there's not much difference from the lunch special menu in price! At BBQ restaurants where you grill the meat yourself, it's chaos trying to watch the baby and grill at the same time — but here, staff grilled everything, so we could eat comfortably. The table was really full, wasn't it? It's clearly tastier than plain steamed rice. Neul Gogi Jip says they use hwangmi rice freshly milled at the restaurant every day, and maybe that's why the rice tasted even better than at most Icheon rice-specialty restaurants. Eating the fluffy rice and then the crispy rice water afterward — so savory. The tendon doenjang stew that goes with the rice is a bit spicy and fiery, while the naengmyeon is clean and refreshing. The tendon stew in particular is generously loaded with tendon. Honestly, it's not that one is better than the other — it really comes down to preference. If you want to eat heartily with rice, go for the tendon doenjang stew; if you want something cool and refreshing, go for the naengmyeon! Choose based on your mood. After finishing everything, we had ice cream for dessert and all the parenting stress just melted away — pure happiness.
