This time I found Kkomak Hansang Gijang Main Branch. You'll see it once you head inside the Morning City building. The underground parking lot is also spacious, so parking was super easy. The tables were spaced generously too, making it comfortable to eat. From the window seats you get a nice open view outside. It's a mood that also suits a family meal. From mains to side dishes, the whole table was packed. I was shocked at the amount of cockles..... could we really finish all this? At first I wondered if it might be too strong-flavored...? But the moment I took a bite, my mind completely changed. They apparently bring in Boseong cockles fresh every dawn. The 20-year secret soy sauce marinade was also a highlight. It's set up so you can scoop out as much as you want and mix it yourself. You can portion it out bit by bit to eat. On top of the seasoned cockles are chili peppers and sesame seeds. The chili looked bigger than expected so I worried it might be spicy, but even I, who can't handle spice well, ate it just fine. The outside was golden brown and the inside cooked moist. Paired with shredded green onion, it cuts through any greasiness nicely. It went great alongside the cockle bibimbap. ## Cockles and beef jeon wrapped in perilla leaves I love perilla leaves so much!!!!!!!! I tried putting rice and cockles on top of a perilla leaf. Adding beef jeon and shredded green onion made for a very full bite! The pairing of perilla leaf and cockle was so good. I think parents would love this place too. The table was also filled with a variety of side dishes. Salad, mul-kimchi (water kimchi), namul (seasoned vegetables), and even lotus root — the lineup was diverse. If you like Korean side dishes, it's fun to try them one at a time! True to a set-meal spread, there was quite a lot to eat. Mixing crispy and soft textures kept things interesting even though it was all Korean food. The namul also seemed to be made fresh daily, so the texture felt alive. The warm broth paired well with the cockles. Picking up bites of golden-fried fish jeon led to yet another flavor beyond the cockle bibimbap. The eggplant tangsuyuk (sweet and sour dish) especially had a much better, softer texture than regular tangsuyuk — I'm getting hungry just writing about it, ugh. After the meal I also checked out the review event. The instructions for how to participate were posted in detail on a sign. I'd recommend joining the review event!! ## Is Kkomak Hansang Gijang Main Branch worth it for a family meal? Kkomak Hansang Gijang Main Branch made for a hearty meal. I loved being able to enjoy cockles and beef jeon together!!! It's a great fit for a day when you're looking for a Gijang restaurant with set-meal Korean food. It'll come to mind when you're looking for a Korean restaurant near Oshiria too. It's also fairly close to the Songjeong area in Busan for a meal route! It was a great place for a filling meal with family.
