Tudoufen (土豆粉) is a plump noodle made from potato starch — unlike wheat noodles, the more you chew it the chewier and bouncier it gets, which is unbeatable! It's one of the trendy Chinese dishes right now! I couldn't resist, so off I went. The space is spacious and comfortable overall, with generous spacing between tables — never felt cramped, which I loved. The alcohol scent isn't strong and it's sweet, so even light drinkers can enjoy it without pressure — paired with the numbing, spicy rosé tudoufen, it's not optional, it's essential. The star dish finally arrived — it passed the visual test right away, with the savory rosé cream and intense mara sauce blending into a rich, delicious-looking, spicy, saucy shanguo-style dish. The mara flavor is way stronger than expected, but eating it as rosé makes it feel balanced and tasty. It wasn't overly greasy — because it's just that spicy. These Yongyong Seonsaeng folks don't hold back on the mara. It was a bit too spicy for me, so the cream shrimp was exactly what I needed!!!! The rosé tudoufen came packed with plenty of ingredients, so we skipped rice and finished the meal here like a proper, filling dinner. Beyond the sausage and various vegetables inside, the tendon (sgeuji) in particular was really generous — chewy and satisfying to bite into. If you're looking for a bar near Dangsan Station with a great atmosphere and tasty food to go with drinks, head to Yongyong Seonsaeng. If you love mara or chewy noodles, definitely visit and try this new menu before it disappears. My own money, my own pick, 200% would revisit!
