It's Hampyeong Yukhoe✨ I love raw food in general, but I especially love yukhoe (raw beef)! There was such a wide range — yukhoe, mungtigi, nakji tangtang-i (chopped raw octopus), fresh chadol-baegi (brisket), fresh buchaesal (flat iron)! They even had sea urchin and sweet shrimp dishes! Yukhoe with gamtae is unbeatable..! They were also running an opening-run event giving out fresh chagol. Finally, our order arrived. Both the yukhoe and mungtigi were sliced nice and thick, which I loved. The texture when chewing was also great😋 As I was eating it, a friend mentioned that butchering usually doesn't happen on weekends, so if a place sells mungtigi on Sundays too, you should be suspicious. I wondered if that was really true… but on the way out I noticed Hampyeong Yukhoe is closed on Sundays because they don't butcher that day! (Of course, whether this is universally true for all weekends isn't fully confirmed.) Honestly, without much exaggeration, this was the best I've ever had. We came here after already eating at round 1 and being pretty full, but the meat was so thick that the texture really came through!
